I'm not trying to make a point with this. I merely found it amusing.
One of the comics I read is Commissioned, a comic about role playing games and the artist's life in general. Today, he introduced a a new character: a goth chick named Raven.

Obviously, the name is fairly ubiquitous, and the characters couldn't be more different.

She has more piercings than Our Raven, but she has a shock of purple hair up front, and is a goth. But she's skinnier and less buxom. Someone calls her Raven, but that isn't necessarily her name, as it's a guy asking if she's a Suicide Girl.

Can you blame Raven for exploring her options? The comics 1065-1110 were Raven-free.
I'll bet that Raven was starting to wonder if SHE would be eaten by an allosaurus. So rather than disappear down a sauropod's gullet, she dug out her goth clothes, put on a corset (thus explaining why she looked skinnier) and went for a guest appearance in Commissioned.
A girl's got to protect her assets, as Faye said in another context.

That was about 12 hours. She did all that in 12 hours?

I'm only wondering if she has bigger breasts than Faye.

Yeah, what are the odds that there could be more than one Goth girl named "Raven". What with the Goth's being so well known for their creativity and individuality.

That's crazy talk, Kafromet!

I read both these comics (QC and Commissioned) with an obsessive love that borders on unhealthy. The Ravens could not be more different but I adore both of them!

It's the same as when Faye didn't appear for a while. I think it was a contract dispute. Faye was auditioning for a role in Something Positive until she got a bigger role. And a cut of the t-shirts.
