Title: So Jeremy Enigk finally announced US tour dates..
Post by: suitupletsgo on 12 Apr 2008, 09:16
Who's going to the one in Philly with me?

Who's going to one at all?

I saw him in December of '06, and it was a really fantastic show, I highly suggest seeing him.

I will go to his show if he admits that he just should have stopped making songs after Diary.

I never understood the not listening to anything past Diary. while Diary is a great album, yeah, the rest are really great also. I even liked The Rising Tide, though I am in the minority of that one. World Waits was really good too, and he puts on a really great show.

chrstian undertones or not, it's fantastic music. I mean, people still listen to Beck, and he's a damn Scientologist.

I'll ready admit that each album Jeremy Enigk participated in had at least ONE good song. Some of them had a few more! But a handful of good songs doesn't make a great discography, unfortunately, and that's why Sunny Day Real Estate is likely to be remembered at a steaming pile, along with The Fire Theft and Enigk's solo material.

I have not encountered a Sunny Day song pre-Rising Tide that I didn't like. to each his/her own.

LP2 is just as good as Diary. Rodeo Jones? Jnuh? Really awesome.

I haven't listened to How It Feels To Be Something On, but the few songs I've heard from it I've liked.

How It Feels To Be Something On is my favourite, personally.
