The place to place all your Svenish posts.
First question. Does Sven use a pick, or does he play Maybelle Carter style?
-
Sven plays left-handed with a flatpick as we see here-

See? Thread almost com-PLETE-ly empty. Why? Everybody hates Sven now!
Anyway since NO-ONE's posting, I'll indulge myself by posting something meant for the Angus and Fay topic, or Faye and Angus. Whatever.
This post came to me at three in the morning on a day without rain. Make of it what you will.
Look at it. Just look at it! Started out about Faye and Angus, but then it's all about Sven. Always all about Sven, I mean, the person who started this thread clearly labeled it Faye and Angus. No Sven in that title, no. Nor is Sven in his post. But by the second post, theeerrreee'ssss Svenny!
I swear, where on this pack of puerile posts can ya go to get away from Sven? I'll bet if I made this twit start a thread labled; Chatter about everything but Sven, some Sven-loving moron would come along and post, "But I wanna post about Svennnn, cuz he's all tall an' cool an' musical an' has everything handed to his candy ass."
I swear to G *whack*
*whackyty whack whack. ... whack*
Ahem. Seems I've been taken over by a hostile persona with a big ol' axe to grind. Or maybe a broadsword.
On the other hand,. it could all be due to that last piece of turkey sausage.
So much for that. I now return to my usual drivel.
Jeph says Angus' nose is just crooked, not broken!
-----------------
Wow! Feels good to get that off my hard drive! And Jeph and the Forum patrol will never know...
Hell, who'm I kidding. They won't care. Ah well.

This Faye drama will drive him to greater creative heights. When it's all smoothed over, he'll find the songs aren't so good any more, and he'll shake things up so she starts disregarding him again. A cycle that will only break when Dora decides she's sick of the conflict.
(What with the tumbleweed blowing through this thread, I felt I should add something.)

Blessings to ya, o Mechanical one.

Alternately, his depression over being blown off (get yer minds out of the gutter!) by Faye will send him into a depressive spiral resulting in an accident involving a toaster and Sven coming to live on Dora's couch....
-
One possibility would be Sven getting so wasted in his depression that he gets lost on the way home and winds up not at his place, but at Raven's place. She would be all to happy to cheer him up.

So making Dora and Sven a mirror image of Faye and Marten, but related. Or...does Mrs Whittaker (or Reed) have a dark secret? Is it just as well they never got together?

Do not pair up Sven and Veronica in any way. Oh, God, Marten and Dora would have to castrate him.
The basic question seems to be this: is Sven the shallow womanizer Dora portrays him to be, and Faye used to accuse him of being? Before the last couple of weeks, I would have said no. Now I wonder...hell, I don't wonder; I think he is a shallow womanizer who was being nice when it was of no particular cost to him. When it came to missing one quickie, Sven reverted to type.
Yea, verily, the worm has turned. Me or him, take your pick.
Got to hand it to Jeph; he's made freaking onions out of all these characters; except, of course, for the Anthros. And maybe Steve. Runs franticly as Steve's Loving Legions pursue with Hue and Cry…and torches. Lotsa torches.

Eeek. Misunderstanding. I was implying that Faye and Marten are secretly half-siblings and don't know it.
It seems Sven is that shallow, but Faye has shaken him up.

Sven kinda reminds me of Kaji. If that's how you spell that goddamn name. Except Kaji is actually kinda charming all the way.
-
I'm hoping Sven will start growing up. That would be good character development.

As for the Faye/Sven relationship angles, I'm afraid that the boy messed up completely, and Faye is just too strong to let go of her convictions. In some ways, I think she knew what she was getting into on that front and perhaps in some level of her subconscious saw that as comforting. She set herself up for the disappointment, because from her perspective, that's what guys are going to do to her. Even after all this time, and the therapy sessions she's gone through, deep down, disappointment will be a word synonamous with male for the time being. Don't get me wrong. I seriously dislike Sven right now for doing what he did and even contemplating hiding it from Faye. He's got a lot of convincing to do, not only with Faye, but also with the rest of the gang before I think we'd see another glimmer of that fire being rekindled, unless Faye forgives him on her own and sneaks off for random Sven lovins.

Did this thread really need reviving?

KILL IT WITH FIRE!
-
Sven needs to move cross state and start a cult!

Worse yet , Sven writes a sappy love song w/Faye's name as part of the refrain and it goes double platinum and is played on every radio station twenty bajillion times a day and she can't escape it! Everyone's humming the tune too, driving her nuts! Then fans find out she's the FAYE! Good lord what a mess that'd be...mucho hilarity, angst and pain would likely ensue...here's wishing it comes to be!

We never found out whether Faye was the inspiration for "Saw You In a Coffee Shop".
