I'm making this thread and risking it turning into a complete disaster so that we can talk about this here video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pEquofR2r0&eurl=http://www.joystiq.com/page/2/), which evaluates the relationship between sex / sexuality and games. It's an interesting vid, obviously inspired artwise by Yahtzee Croshaw's reviews. The maker of the video is Daniel Floyd, who is a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design (I know people there yay), which boasts a noted academic on sex and games in Brenda Brathwaite. I think it's pretty interesting.

God that was amazing. He raised really good points and his approach was spot on. I'm actually really suprised that he didn't mention God of War anywhere.

10/10 He's just plain right.

Plus it's rare to get a well made commentary, with examples, and without resorting to expletives to add emphasis.

and it is gone
Did it take about the Uncanny Valley at all?
-
Nope. He wasn't interested in the mechanics of sex in videogames... that's an awkward statement to interpret.
He wasn't interested in the implementation of sex in videogames, mechanically, just the artistic presence of sex in games.

It's been removed.
