Title: One of my comic sketches
Post by: Snid on 08 Jul 2008, 06:45
I started my series of sketches with this little story: http://www.sniddin.com/Equality%20and%20Diversity%20Training.htm

If you fancy a laugh, check it out, I update as/when I get around to it (though I have a number of ideas sketched out that aren't uploaded yet).

Three posts and the guy's hawking his comic? That gives us free rein to be dicks to him, right?

Here's the deal, Snid. Your comic caused both my eyes and my brain to bleed. You'll be receiving a court summons shortly.

Valrus, considering this 'masterpiece' (link: http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,19409.msg621277.html#msg621277) was the best you could conjur up, I can safely say your opinion is, simply put, insignificant.

You are an arrogant, worthless sneak. I have nothing good to say about you whatsoever. It is a displeasure even reading your drivel.

Anyways:

Well, since Valrus covered bad cop... Snid, I will be as gentle as I can.

Your artwork is, ah, less than satisfying aesthetically, the jokes fall slightly short of amusing, and you should probably have posted this here instead.

PS: You should probably not use Times New Roman in the speech bubbles.

PPS: Your site needs some work - a new background colour would be ace (#E3E3E3 looks nice and you can take a look here for inspiration), as well as removal of the standard HTML border. Get hold of a free drawing program of some kind, The Gimp is pretty nice)

When I want your opinion I'll ask the nearest mute.

Incidentally, your offerings, such as http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,20488.msg674577.html#msg674577 and http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,20469.msg673775.html#msg673775 were an eyesore at best and cringeworthingly awful at worst.

Your self portrait, I gather, is meant to reflect this image: http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,18921.msg668565.html#msg668565

Perhaps a cheaply sketched image of Johnny Rotten would have been more appropriate.

It's moments like this when I wonder if people make crap like this just to troll, or they really are just that awful.

Those are awful big words and insults to be throwing at people for someone who either A) put the time and effort to make a poor joke or B) Sucks like a Hoover.

Hi Snid,

If you want to plug your comic, we have a thread for that very purpose right here: http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,13514.0.html (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,13514.0.html).

Thankyou!

Also, I know that criticism of your work can be hard to take sometimes, but it's worth your while learning to accept well-intentioned and constructive criticism such as that offered by Anyways with good grace. Remember: you're creating this comic to appeal to readers; if somebody who reads your comic tells you some things about the site that could be improved to make it more reader-friendly, it would be a good idea to pay attention. Please think about this for your own sake, when your pride is feeling a bit less bruised.

Three posts and the guy's hawking his comic? That gives us free rein to be dicks to him, right?

Not really, no. I'd like to think nobody ever has "free rein to be dicks" around here . . . but then, I'd also like to think that I'm not naive. So, perhaps next time, you could think before you post: "Is my being a dick going to make this thread a better and more useful and enjoyable thread for all concerned?" I think and hope you'll find that the answer on every occasion will be "no".
