I did a search and came up with one thread that was from 2005... so sorry if there's already a thread for this...
But :-o Someone sent me a link to this not too long ago and I finally just finished watching them all!!!
Anyone else love Red Vs. Blue?
Who's your favorite character?
What's your favorite episode?
What did you think of the ending?
I <3 Church.
-
Fun stuff, got kind of tired, fucked up ending, making a new one
-
I haven't watched it in a long time. I think I've still got to see season five. The new series looks pretty interesting.
-
There hasn't been a thread about Red Vs. Blue since 2005 because Red Vs. Blue hasn't been relevant since 2005.

Right, because clearly everyone in the world must have already heard about it in 2005 and no one since has ever found it for the first time?
Hey, at least I rolled a 20 on my search check. :-P

My bad. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go start threads about lolcats and ytmnd. These are hot topics!
Edit: I am going to clarify my view here for the sake of showing I'm not merely trying to troll this thread:
There's a reason new forumites are discouraged from making new threads in their first few weeks on the forums. Things like this thread happen. Sure, it's not hurting anyone or anything, but the real likelihood of it ever going anywhere but "Gee, that weekly three minute parody sure was pretty okay three years back."
The general golden rule for threads is recommended as: stop and think about the thread you're about to make. Is it going to lead to any worthwhile discussion? Is it presenting an interesting new story or idea?
Look over your post. You're basically just starting a list thread about something that's very outdated. You might as well go into the music forums and ask people who their favorite track off of Dark Side of the Moon was.
-
Jon, go sit in your corner over there. You aren't a mod here... yet...
The series was fun and enjoyable. Got kinda old after a while. New series looks shiny. I like shiny.
-
Pay the toll to avoid the troll.
-
I'm sorry, but you're referring to whom? I'm merely putting forth advice on why this probably isn't the best idea for a thread. As is probably rendered obvious by the fact that there hasn't been a single response to the original topic that garnered more than a single sentence response.
Conversely, I'd like to assume that if you're not referring to me, then you're not referring to the original poster. I may think the thread's a few steps past sub-par, but it's most definitely not any kind of obvious trolling.
-
Hahaha no I saw your mention of troll and it immediately came to my head, not exactly a necessary post but whatever.

Pfft, long-established forumites start threads like that all the time! Hell, they're practically the staple diet in the computers sub-forum.
You might as well go into the music forums and ask people who their favorite track off of Dark Side of the Moon was.
Would that be so terrible? Must we be constantly beholden to all things shiny & new? Old or new, it's all part of the greater cultural conversation.
-
Yeah, that would actually be a good discussion, how long has it been since someone has asked that? I bet we have had a lot of new members since the last time, should be good.
-
Okay, so yeah, RvB is pretty puch the best machinima series out there, and really, the new series is excellent.
So yeah, it's relevant.
-
Nope, not relevant yet. Sorry.
-
You know what keeps people interested, links to whatever the fuck you are talking about. Seriously, Id give half a damn about this, but Im too lazy to go to the top right of my screen and type in Red vs Blue in google, to watch some. Just a hint to the topic creator.
-
Nope, not relevant yet. Sorry.
Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong. You're wrong...
Seriously, don't wanna get into this kind of argument, but it's really more awesome than you.
-
I think the fact that there've been more posts arguing whether or not this thread even deserves to exist than there have been posts actually talking about Red Vs. Blue kind of makes me case for me.
On top of that, I think the fact there hasn't been a single post on the topic that was more than "Oh yeah, I dig that video" kind of reinforces it.
-
Cheshire Cat: RvsB Episode 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BAM9fgV-ts). Mostly just sets things up. Episode 2 is where most people tend to get interested in it if they get interested at all.

I would not have noticed this thread at all without the bumping due to your argument. Forums work like capitalism! Let the market decide.
-
It was actualy good. Supprising, since it's made out of Halo, but still good.

fixed.
-
You didn't change anything.
That is deep.
-
Oooooh this, haha yeah I used to watch the hell out if it back in the day. This Chapter II doesnt seem quite so fetch. Way to much "story" way to little "funny" but Ill have to give it more time.

It might not have contained the height of intellectual and philosophical debate, but it was at least positive, on-topic posts until *you* showed up and started the argument... so that kinda breaks your case.
But I guess if topics about old subjects that have recently been revived due to new episodes is cause for getting your panties in a twist, I'll just stick to new, shiny topics in Music, like David Bowie and Dire Straits.

I dunno, I think the new series actually has merit in that it's adding a bit of depth to the story which I like. It still has me laughing out loud at least a few times per episode "I just want everyone to know I have no trouble walking. .... And I take full responsibility for the grenade."
<3 Caboose.
Anyway, the little girl voice in episode 10 "we missed you Delta"... that had a massive creep factor going on!
I like the openings, going back and forth between the two guys, but I miss the original theme song.
Anyone know where Tucker went?

Anyone know where Tucker went?
Sadly, no. More or less, I think he was just comedy relief for the BGC, as was Donut, because I haven't heard any word on either of them making an appearance any time soon. Though I have noticed a lot of RvB forumites bitching to the staff about those characters' absences, so we'll see if RT succumbs to the pressure and throws them in there.
Reconstruction has basically been quite awesome, and as long as Caboose is still, you know, Caboose, I think we're good.
-
Well I uh.... found out what happened to Donut... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcVPrCCp4B8&feature=related :|
-
I got to meet Cabooooooooose <3
And Simmons...
Grif had already gone home. *pout*
Yay for PAX!
No spoilers though.. I'll try harder next time ;) But I asked where Donut and Tucker were, and was told no spoilers *wag finger* so that means there's a spoiler in there somewhere. *mwahahaha*
