I guess you know by now that I'm moving to Sydney sometime soon. I probably took a silly way of organising myself because now I have job interviews out the wazoo and nowhere to rest my head until poor Jimmy and I can figure out if we're ever going to be flatmates.
What I am asking, Sydneyites, is if anyone has a couch I can crash on for any length of time starting from next week it would be perfect. I am neat and tidy and quiet! I will not hog the bathroom too much! I will bring my car and keep all my stuff in it so I am not cluttering up your place! I can even contribute to the grocery bill and things like that.
HELP!

Hey Lunchy, one of my housemates is over in the States at the moment, so we actually have a temporarily spare room in our house for the next couple of weeks (I think she comes back on the 30th). She'd probably be open to the idea of sub-letting it for a very small amount of money. Alternatively, if you can't spare the cash, we also have plenty of couches, and I can ask my other housemates if they'd mind you staying for a few days. I share with another guy and two girls, by the way.
Also, if you'd prefer to stay with other Sydney-ites who you've met more than once, I'd completely understand!
Also also, finding apartments in Sydney is kinda difficult at the moment, though you guys probably already know this. Good luck!

PM'd
-
Dammit I actually meant for that to be a PM.
I lose at Internet.
-
Couldn't you have just deleted the post and PM'd it? Then we never would have known!
-
Shh.
-
Want me to delete the post for you, Lunchy?
The post that you accidentally posted?
The one where you posted it when you didn't mean to, and then everyone saw it, and then you were like, "Oops"?
Want me to delete that post?
I can delete that post that you accidentally made if you want me to.

Lunchy, if ViolentDove's housemates are against the idea I have at least a lounge you can crash on so long as my house mate is ok with the idea (he is usually ok with things!)
-
Thanks Est!
We will wait and see what Nick's housemates think, huh? (I hope everything works out.)
It's cool Harry.
I am woman enough to admit to my mistakes.
-
I too have a couch and I'm sure my brother won't mind hugely. Hopefully everything works out with Nick though, that would be fairly convenient.
-
My couch is new and pretty!
(though America is kinda not close to Sydney, now is it?)
-
How come nobody said something like "I don't have a spare bed but there's room for two in mine.
I mean I wouldn't say something like that cos I've got class but one of you proles could've.
-
Man Dovey maybe it is just hard for them to recognise that I am totally a single swingin' girl now.
-
Pffft like that actually matters.
-
I guess I am just way too classy to even think of such a thing.
-
I thought of it, but it's not my bed, so I didn't think I should say anything.
-
Guys, I have slept in several beds with Lunchy. It is awesome.
I assume you are all jealous.
-
South-central Wisconsin's lovely!
So you know, if you ever find yourself here. There's a room downstairs.
-
Don't be silly, that's of no use whatsoever. Clearly when Lunchy realises how disappointing Sydney is, she'll be moving to Melbourne pronto.
-
Speaking of Melbourne, I'll be there at the end of January.
Hopefully the Sydney move turns out well Ally.

We're applying for a house today. Hopefully it turns out well?

Why would we do that? That sounds like an awful idea.
-
I should add, because it allows people to ask for accommodation help. There's a LJ for Sydney too, if you want to contact a lot of people at once.
-
Wait, there are other cities in Australia than just Melbourne and Sydney? Where the heck were you living, Lunchy? Perth?!
-
Don't be silly, everyone knows Perth's not a real place.
She must be in Wagga Wagga.

That is still an awful idea asking strangers for a place to stay. She asked here because she has already met and hung out with a lot of us.
-
mm yeah. Sorry. I didn't think of it that way.
