I, for one, like it quite a bit. She seems to have her glasses a bit lower too, which I approve. Of course people at work saw my Library Science tote bag and asked "don't you have a shirt like that?" so i might be biased...TOWARD AWESOME
-
I prefered the old hairstyle. This Tai seems a bit more mature, with less of a tomboyish flair.
Still, I'm happy with the whole comic.
-
It looks kind of like a bowl cut when she is looking directly at you. It will take some getting used to, I don't like when people change their hair styles.
-
At least she doesn't look 12 anymore.
-
I think she looks super cute!
Is it just me, or does she look a little thinner too?? Something else looked new about her, besides the hair...
-
Her boobs aren't taped down anymore?
I dunno, I notice these things in a lady.

she's not pregnant anymore
all in the subtext
-
Is it just me or does the hairstyle make her look a tad like Dora?...
-
It's an awfully severe hairstyle, but then despite Word of God I've never seen Tai as being particularly butch. More "chapstick lesbian" a la Ellen Degeneres. Besides, she looks even more girly than usual in the tank top anyway.
She's still cute enough to go on my "aw, dammit" list though.
-
I snorted out loud at "chapstick lesbian".
-
"Chapstick Lesbian" is a long-standing term. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chapstick+lesbian (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=chapstick+lesbian)
I to dislike her new severe hair cut, and I think this is the first look we've had of Tai while she was NOT binding. Granted she was not greatly blessed by the cleavage fairy, but still, to see how much she does have and to know that she regularly binds those... ouch.
I've known some girls who had Tai's former aesthetic. I referred to that look as "microdyke", a boyish lesbian of diminutive stature.
-
It seems odd that Jeph chose to change her hair to make her "more butch" and then put her in a more-fem-then usual outfit.
-
I disagree a black/charcoal singlet is a female outfit. I think that her glasses are more accentuated with the closer-cropped do, so you realise that her glasses have actually been quite feminine. Also, her previous hairstyle looked a bit more shaggy and therefore the closer-cropped one looks a bit more stylish, running contra to the stereotype that butch lesbians are all male-esque fashiontards minus the stubble and the crotch-scratching.
-
I really like it, actually. I mean, there is room for improvement, but Jeph siad he still had to work on it a bit. So I trust him.
I like her glasses, too. They kinda look like my old ones, so I might be a but biased towards them. I never really noticed them before.
To me she looks more like a girl, despite looking more like a lesbian. Cute.
-
I agree. I like the new look too. I think as Jeph gets a more solid idea of the character of his uh, characters and improves his skills we'll see the characters become more refined and individual.
-
Agreed wholeheartedly. I really love how EVERYONE looks at this point. Jeph's drawing skills have been getting better and more refined as the comic has been coming along, and he never ceases to surprise me when he unveils a new look. For that matter, ANYTHING that might be new. Backgrounds, scenery, etc.
-
For me there's been a couple of misses, but mostly where he's been playing around with line weight, etc. No-one's perfect! I can see constant improvement though, so that is pretty cool.
-
I love it.
-
I like it :) I used to have a do that looked a bit like that, but Tai wears it better than I did ;)
-
Well to make you feel better about tai's hair heres some lesbian humor:
1. What do you call a lesbain in the arctic? Klondyke
2. What do lesbains make for dinner? They dont they eat out
I was going to make a snide comment about the lack of humor present, but honestly, 2 doesn't make much sense. I felt like I would be kicking a sick puppy.
-
I do apolagize for the lack of humor, but i thought they were funny when i posted them

Sadly, the cleavage fairy gave what could have been to me.
-
Something about Tai is different for sure, asides from her hair. I think a Tattoo is missing, i shall search for the answer!!!

You are a lady, right?

I believe you will find that it is more a case of "Tai - Unbound" than the Case of the Missing Tattoo

No, that's what's so sad about it.
