Title: Michael Crichton dead at age 66

http://www.michaelcrichton.net/

There's the official website but I actually heard it from a friend earlier today, He's been dead almost a week and no topic in here? I'm having a little trouble coming to grips with it personally, I mean, sure authors I've read have died before, but this is the guy who brought us Sphere, the Andromeda Strain, Jurassic Park, Timeline. Those four listed are on the top of the list of my favorite books of all time, but I've liked every book I've ever read by him, and I've been reading his stuff since i was a kid.

I am genuinely sad. Michael Crichton, you've written excellent books and even directed and helped towards some great movies in your time. You done good.

A little slow getting up this thread.

Anyway, He left a legacy of great sci-fi that as well as entertained also raised ethical question regarding a wide range of scientific ideas.

To Michael,

This man's books were a significant part of my life from about 3rd grade to high school.  It's weird to think that he's not around anymore.  Rest in peace, sir.
