So I'm listening Regina Spektor, and "Better" comes up. Here are some of the lyrics:
"If I kiss you where it's sore, will you feel better? Will you feel anything at all?"
And I realized that the song is the perfect response to "One" by Metallica. Except actually listening to "better" after "one" with that in mind is a little weird since Regina Spektor's music is fairly whimsical.
I guess you have to know both songs. Look them up on Youtube.
Never mind, I'll just link to them:
One - Metallica (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwW9L_qzqp8)
Better - Regina Spektor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zA4oG4FJFY)
For maximum effect, imagine Regina Spektor speaking directly to that guy in the hospital bed, sincerely wanting to help in an underwhelming way.
So anyways, can you guys think of anything else like this? I'm sure a million exist. So no, this isn't a crappy topic, you just need to use your imaginations.

Eugene, there is a big question there, though. Would he be able to make the song good?

Chris Martin, of course, is the disease.

Of course not, The Cure is silly!

How about Metal Gear Solid 4 and Fallout 3?
"War... has changed."
"War... War never changes."

Those aren't songs!
Gosh. Way to get it wrong.

When I saw this title, I thought it was going to be ironic song pairings within an album. So what came into my mind right away was "Why Don't We Do It In The Road?" followed by "I Will" on the White Album.

Will you still love me tomorrow- The Shirelles
Yesterday- Butt Trumpet
Seriously, look up the lyrics.

Pussycat Dolls manage this by themselves.
'Dont'cha' - About stealing a man away from his girlfriend
'Stickwitu' - About how girls must stick with their man no matter what
'I Don't Need A Man' - About how girls don't need a man
HUH?

'Dont'cha'
'Stickwitu'
I didn't know that the Pussycat Dolls made Aboriginal folk music.
'I Don't Need A Man'
English language crossover superstars!

Chris Martin, of course, is the disease.
His voice kinda ruins "Clocks".
-
I just thought of one! "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" and "Careless Whisper".
-
Errr....
"Last Christmas" and "Hammer Smashed Face"?!

My cred goes out the window right now, but:
Avril Lavigne "Girlfriend" + The Ramones "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend"
"Hey, hey,
You, you,
I want to be your girlfriend."
"Hey, little girl
I wanna be your boyfriend."
Get it? ...cause the lyrics are the same....except that he says "little girl"....and she's far younger than he is....
Yeah.
I originally heard a mash-up where it was "I Wanna Be Sedated" along with Avril's "Girlfriend", and I thought this pairing would be far funnier. This seemed the perfect opportunity to voice that possibility.
