Resurrecting old threads is frowned upon.

... it's pretty.

... the story could be awesome.

The damn game keeps freezing every ten fucking minutes.

Is there a cheap, easy, quick fix?  If not, I'm returning this horse shit and buying a porno*.

*  Or Assassin's Creed.  If they don't sell pornos at Best Buy.

I wouldnt know,my PC cant handle it,hell my PC cant handle anything past 2006.


As for Assassins Creed,its a good game,as for the Porno,its up to you.

Actually, I'm playing GTAIV on the 360.  That makes its flaws worse.

They're actually okay in the 360 version.  I've been getting used to them, much as I did for GTA III and Vice City and San Andreas.  The only problem I have is that the game comes to a complete fucking stop every few minutes.

i prefer to play PC versions of GTA, and I can do races just fine. Driving isn't all that bad if you know what you're doin'.

Partly, I'd assume, because in Vice City and San Andres they made the handling of the cars much more uniform, bland,and easy. Ah, playing G.T.A. 3, trying to do a quick getaway with guys on your tail and the only car you could get your hands on was a shitty old Manana, those were the days . . .

The system specs for GTAIV are ridiculous, and as such I refuse to buy it. Fucking poor porting.

Also I've been playing San Andreas since my Xbox disc drive quit working so I hope you're reading this Microsoft since I can't print repair orders off your website and a robot responded to my email and it's just making my me want to play GTAIV a whole bunch.

Bought it for the 360 like 2 days after it came out.  Had no problems with freezing.

Personally, it's my favorite GTA game so far.

So sometimes GTA freezes for no good reason.

Well, turns out usually it's the 360.  Either it's because the laser that reads the disc is too weak to keep up with the game or the game puts such demands on the system that problems with the power supply overheating truly come into their own.

Best I can tell, it's the latter in my case.  I moved my power supply to a location that emphasizes its ability to cool itself and so far no freezing.

Fuck microsoft.
