Title: REPO! The Genetic Opera
Post by: Norton Quintessential on 19 Feb 2009, 17:47
God Dammit, I hate the lead actress in the film, but I can't get these frigging songs out of my head.

"And the zendryte comes in a little glass vial..."
"A little glass vial?"
"A LITTLE GLASS VIAL!"

I greatly enjoyed the movie overall, though I think I like the soundtrack better. I'm no great fan of Alexa Vega, but I thought she did a fine job in this. I was impressed with her singing. Paul Sorvino has a spectacular voice and I got a huge kick out of the three Largo kids.

I thought it was pretty damn good. Even though it was an opera, thui the dialogue is performed through song, I thought they could have written better lyrics for some of the bigger songs. Also, Graverobber could have been an awesome character, but the guy who played him sucked pretty bad.

I thought Graverobber was great. He was also one of the writers of the show and did the artwork in the the little panel-by-panel back story bits.
