So I just heard yesterday the the TV show, Dead Like Me, now has a movie to go along with it! Of course, it's already been released, so I'm kind of late to the show, but has anyone seen it yet? I'm psyched, partially because it's such a fucking great show, but also because Desmond, from Lost, has a pretty neat role in it.

I'm assuming it's a D2DVD or TV movie.
I liked the show quite a bit. Wonder if Mandy Patinkin is coming back.

Based on what wikipedia says about the movie, that isn't likely. When I saw the ad on Sci Fi they were having some sort of marathon.

Saw it. It takes place five years after the toilet seat incident (Georgia's death), and right after Rube gets his final soul, and is "promoted". It's not bad, but it kind of just made me miss the show. For what it was, though, good sendoff.

this thread taunts me. I have not seen the movie yet, but I own it

I've heard of it, but not seen it.
I so dearly want to, though.
The original two seasons are probably one of my favourite TV shows, it's sad that they cancelled it after only two seasons, the new movie aside.

I torrented it. It's a little...disappointing. No Rube, which is sad, and the girl that plays Daisy is different. Other then that, everyone is the same. It's a pretty decent story, and ties up some of the stuff between George and her family (esp. w/ Reggie), but it still leaves a lot of unanswered questions (i.e.: What's going to be on the other side for George? What happened to Rube and his family?). But it's still pretty good. I wouldn't spend money on it, but you can torrent it, or rent it probably.

I watched it last night, and was kinda disappointed. The story wasn't as good as most of the episodes, the new Daisy drove me nuts and seemed like she just wasn't cast correctly. I did miss Rube. It was okay, but it probably could have been a lot better.
