Title: So, Dora's going full blonde?
Post by: Coffee_Kaioken on 15 Mar 2009, 23:21
Looks like she's cutting off the darkened edges and going back to her older (but more natural this time around) hairstyle soon.

It's a shame, but meh.

One question is why she kept it black for so long. In #238 she attributed her choice of darkness to goth-hood and beyond that just said "it suits me".

For me it's been less jarring than I expected.

She mentioned a few times that in order to go back to her blond color she had to shave it or let it go to this blond w/ black tips coloration while it grew, and she wasn't fond of doing either.

Apparently she got over the latter.

Well I can't see why else you'd put up with the long, horrible growing-out-of-roots unless to go back to your natural colour. I'm kinda blah about it but I can certainly understand getting sick of a colour/pissing about and dying it constantly. And the haircut looks nice. And yes she's a cartoon character, so sue me.

I think I enjoy Dora more as a blond than black haired.

Did everyone make a fuss when Hanners chopped off her hair? (Just to ask, I wasn't on the forums when that occured.)

At first I didn't like it, but I think he's getting a good feel for how to draw the new hair, and it's become much more likable as it settles in.  It almost fits her personality better, even if I thought she was more attractive with the black hair.  Fuck, I think comic characters are attractive, and I type sentences about their hairstyles.  Look what you've done to me, Jeff?

I could always do this. ;D

I despise the color WHITE, so... yes. Colors are preferred.

Wow. Honestly? One lone person would enjoy to type in a color other than white, and that's reason to complain?

I would really enjoy to type in another color, but since it seems to be such a no-no, consider yourselves the victors.
Who am I to go against the masses?

You can do it, but no one is going to read your posts cos it's hard to look at. That's all they're saying. No need to get all self-righteous wah wah on everyone.

Sorry, I didn't think I was being self righteous.
I also didn't realize that it was hard to read. :( No one actually said it was.  The yellow was easier for me to see because the white tends to run together.

Guys, I apologize for my self righteousness. I didn't know that the yellow was hard for others to read. (I will admit the olive was!)

You must have missed KickThatBathProf's post ("awful to read" in all capital letters). I did find it amusing you used yellow font in a blonde-Dora thread. I am surprised you don't find at least your second post in color hard to read. I guess everyone sees colors differently. Just keep in mind whoever designed the forums designed them a specific way so that they were easy to read and stuff. Thas all. :)

That's what temporary dye is for - just use the kind that lasts 2 or 3 weeks at a time, and refresh it a few times until you've grown it out to the point where you can cut it.  Presto, no two-tone look.
