Definitive my kind. A total liberal, metalhead with homicide tendencies... jejejeje if I could find someone so much like me as Dora... anyway I scared my comrades at work with today lol.
To be honest this is the kind of humor makes me love QC, dark and cold humor, also I liked the days where Jeph used some cultural/intelectual reference as Mom Jabbar or the Schrodinger joke. Jeph if you read this I would like to sincerely ask why did you changed your punch lines to something less painfull? Just wondering.
-
I must be missing the strips that have cold and dark humor because I don't wear enough black or something.
-
she did pull out a sword on the girl who asked marten out.
Dora is great, no doubt. Is there any character we dont love, though?
-
Me. In a cast this size, there's always gonna be one or two characters that I just don't care for or think are worth their screentime, and for me, for this strip, it's Dora.
-
Not a fan.
-
I like Dora, but...I can't love her. I'm still not over the loss of Dromiceiomimus.
Also, spell check says that "Dromiceiomimus" is my mis-spelling of "Palindromic"
-
She has her moments, but her insecurity and double standards tend to piss me off.
-
She's too much like a over-controlling ex-girlfriend of mine for me to like her.
...
"HOW DARE YOU CUT YOUR HAIR"
-
girls like having a say in how their boys look *shrugs* seems fine to me it is like how guys dont want their girls to go out without clothing

"I DON'T NEED HIS PERMISSION TO CHANGE MY HAIR"
-
The Man likes his hair military short. I like his hair long enough to run my fingers through and grip. He keeps his hair short because it looks more professional, is easier to maintain and he just likes it better. Sucks for me, but oh well, it's his hair.
Meanwhile I've got hair down to my ass 'cause I know that's how he likes it best. Go figure!

"HOW DARE YOU CUT YOUR HAIR"
"I DON'T NEED HIS PERMISSION TO CHANGE MY HAIR"
This is really the only thing I don't like about her.
-

so... if you two compromised he would be getting a mullet??
-
A southern country boy with a mullet? Too much of a cliché!
-
jejejeje

ME
me me me me.
I don't love Dora.
I hate her.

I feel your pain on this!
-
I'm not particularly a fan of Dora as a character, no. I wouldn't say that I hate her, but I certainly don't love her.
-
i have pretty much no affinity for dora
-
Dora's my fave character.
She's headstrong, kind, and knows what she wants, although she takes thing out of proportion a lot, but she seems to be the most human of the cast
-
I will throw my lot in with the people who think Dora's OK, but not awesome. I liked her a ton more when she was in her apartment talking out her insecurities with her kitty cat. I could relate to her a lot more then, haha. I want to see more cat action in QC. Not in the Rule 34 way either.
-
A southern country boy with a mullet? Too much of a cliché!
ehehe you could go for the "reverse mullet"!
-
as long as he doesnt sport an emo frock
-
She seemed to be there primarily to shock people: "Would you like a cup of coffee or a quick fuck on the counter?"; Flashing her boobs; etc. Now that she's playing The Girlfriend, she's not so interesting.
-
She still is, but only to Marten
See boob flashing when M's all vomiting all over the place for one reason or another, and "cookies AND oral sex?"
-
yeah well she doesnt flirt with marten anymore because why would she. she still does the shocker evey so often it just doesnt happen as much as it used to. In fact, her and faye havent gotten into a catty fight in a while, either.
Jeph, we demand that you provide us with craziness and cattyness at once
-
Faye and Penny Fight Over Angus!
Film at 11.
-
she still does the shocker evey so often it just doesnt happen as much as it used to.
i would find dora to be a much more interesting character if she did the shocker on-screen
-
ehehe you could go for the "reverse mullet"!
I believe I sported that cut through most of my high school years. I just don't see The Man going for it.
as long as he doesnt sport an emo frock
LOL. I can't even begin to see The Man pulling that one off even if he wanted to. He's a geek t-shirt and jeans, no bull-shit, low maintenance sort.
-
she still does the shocker evey so often it just doesnt happen as much as it used to.
i would find dora to be a much more interesting character if she did the shocker on-screen
she is much more likely to do the show stopper

Your definite article lacks a referent. I find this disturbing.

google is a wonderful tool
laziness is my ally
-
*shrug* Dora makes Marten happy, and I identify with Marten. Besides, I had my own Love the Darkly Dead-Looking Hot Goth Chicks in my youth, so I'm fond of Dora in a nostalgiac, distant way.

-
Jejeje yeah MR. ska... those girls are umposible to forget. I still liking them.
-
oh god my grammar chip just exploded
-
Jejeje
-
I liked Dora a lot better before she hooked up with Marten. Now she's boring.
-
Jejeje
:?
-
Least favorite character. That being said, I don't hate her. But she's so dull.
I'd totally be friends with her irl, though. But reading about her is boring.
-
Angus.
-
Jejeje
:?
I believe he's laughing. In the Spanish, "j" is pronounced as in the English "h". Just my suspicion.
He could just be a bastard. A bastard-coated bastard with creamy bastard filling.
But he's probably laughing.
-
I'm quoting the somewhat bizzare laugh from the OP
It reminds me of GBA games like pokemon where people laugh like "fufufufu" and shit
-
That is usually how Spanish speaking people laugh in text.
<--- Native Spanish speaker. Crap Spanish typist.
-
I'm guessing that a Spanish speaker would read "hehehe" as "e e e".
-
har har har.
spanish people would read as " ar ar ar " which is a pirate laugh :P

So's your mom!
:-P
((That's basically my instinctual reply to anything that confuses me. :| ))
-
Haven't you heard?
You bring up recently-dead thread and put pics of Jar-Jar there. It's gonna be big!
-
I'm confused...but I think Jar Jar belongs in the "Who Doesn't Love Hanners" thread (if there is, was, or will be WAS and will be again one).

In Spanish, his name would be pronounced, Har-Har, right?
-
Naw, man, it's Je Je.
-
I like the comic as a Gestalt thing, and withhold fanship from a single character given experience.
-
Dora is alright. I think Marten is lame though.
-
I liked Dora a lot better before she hooked up with Marten. Now she's boring.
This.

Pot? Kettle. Oh, I see you've met.

This.
This what?
it's usually used when agreeing with someone
-
Dora's my favorite. She's one of the few really nice characters (Hanners, Marten are the others) and she is completely crazy in a way that produces more haha moments than holy-crap-someone-just-killed-Steve moments (I don't really like Steve).
-
Dora's boring. If she had a job like Steve's, maybe then I'd consider liking her as a character.
-
Dora is pretty awesome

oh yeah (http://tjsthings.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/dora.jpg)

Sexualization of iconic child star=fail. Look at what happened to Lindsay (Lindsey?) Lohan.

Dude, stop being gross

Tell that to the people responsible for teenaged Dora.

I get people not liking that they're trying to change Dora, but I don't find anything particularly sexual about the tween Dora. I suggest that if looking at that picture turns someone one on, there maybe something skewed with that individual rather than the image.
Lyndsay Lohan was ok until she started with the drinking. Until that point she hadn't done any parts that were particularly sexual in nature. I blame shoddy parenting and money-grubbing people who pander to these kids' every whim for the sake of making a buck.
-
To clarify: I do not find teeny bopper Dora attractive. I just think it's fairly obvious that the marketing scheme has been- er, "altered." It's subliminal.

That would probably be because they were planning on making merch targeted towards tweens who grew up with Dora. They were just trying to extend her saleability to include an older demographic.
-
I have seen girls in their 20s with teletubbies. Go figure
-
30's, if you count keychains.
-
Reminds me of a woman I saw the other day, must have been about 40, had a My Little Pony tshirt and everything
-
I want this t-shirt (http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/womens/a078/zoom/)!
-
That is a pretty sweet shirt.
-
I do love her, but not so much anymore now that she's blonde
-
Yeah, I like her old hair better. It was much sexier and fits her character better. (bicurious hot chick!)
Her new hair looks kind of a mess. It's almost as if she's grown a bit complacent about her looks, now that she's already hooked up with Marten.
-
Your hair reflects your soul. They are both pitch black and spiky

Poop to that
-
I like Dora, and have been rooting for her from the start. I kinda like how her hair is now. Its kinda cool. :-D
-
I guess she's outgrown her goth days. Her soul has been redeemed.
-

AND SHE HAS FOUND HEAVY METAL!!!
SLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!
-
Her hair reflects her soul. It is bright on the inside with a dark ring around it.
-
Her soul is an unclean bathtub?
-
Or a whitewall tire.

Bi-curious hot chick? For it is inconceivable an attractive, femme woman could be genuinely attracted to men and women equally. Oh, and I love how she needs a smackdown for "letting herself go". What are you thinking Dora!
-
Well, so far, she hasn't demonstrated any bisexual behavior yet, nor have I read any strips where she (seriously) identifies herself as one.
The occasional smacking of faye's ass does not count.
So, yeah. Bi-curious.
-
Didn't she have naughty thoughts about Hanners?
-
Yeah, but until she positively identifies herself as bisexual, the more accurate term will be bi-curious.
Being bi-curious doesn't preclude her being genuinely attracted to members of the same sex.

Bi-curious (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1047)

Making out with a DJ at a gay nightclub: #404. DJ was a "her".
Though of course she might have been kidding about that one, grabbing Faye's breasts was fairly blatant (#415).
A while back, and I'm not sure what search terms to use to find it, someone put together a list of all the occasions on which Dora was hitting on Faye. It was a long list.
