No, to have to wait for the latest ones to come out is gonna suck real bad
Think that might have been setting myself up for a fall
-
Hah, yeah the feeling of reading all of QC for the first time is awesome. Just wait until you read it the fifth or sixth time. ;)
Really, the waits aren't that bad since it's updated everyday. :D
-
I read the whole thing in about three days, and I'm already on my first partial re-read. I have too much spare time on my hands.
-
I've reread it like twice already. I figure I'll do it once a year.
-
Je... I'm actually rereading it twice right now. It's a good way to keep things fresh and also killing the time while the new ones are getting prepared.
-
What I like about rereading through them is seeing Jeph's art change overtime.
-
THIS THREAD HAPPENS ALL THE FUCKING TIME.
GUESS WHAT I HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN READING QUESTIONABLE CONTENT FOR 6 YEARS.
HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?
-
I ACTUALLY ENJOYED IT FOR ABOUT 2 OF THOSE YEARS.
-
You, know, people, there are other webcomics.
If you're looking for something that stands up well to multiple readings, I recomend http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/ (http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/). Actually Anders <3 Maria doesn't actually make sense until you've read it a couple of times, but the art is good, and the characters are well developed, with backstories and everything.
also,
WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?!?!?!?!
all caps sucks.
-
Yes questionable content is a very entertaining anime, it's dissapointing whenever u get to the end tho!
-
what
Edit: I wouldn't really call QC 'anime'...
-
I know someone just did not call QC an anime.
I've reread several of the other comics I normally follow, like PA, Megatokyo, CAD, etc. You want a challenge, try reading through PvP's archive. Eleven years worth.
-
WHY ARE WE SHOUTING?!?!?!?!
Kieffer seems to be having one of his little turns.

Or Goats. 12 years.

That's like saying Gandalf is Santa... And we all know what Gandalf thinks about the subject:

I think I tried reading this because the later comics looked really cool, then when I went to the start of the archives it was boring for ~200 strips so I stopped reading.
-
Lazy bone-ass. It only took me 6 days to read them all.
But that was half year ago, yet I readed more strips per day than you did.
:-P
Hope you take this with clam.
-
Wont lie ive tried to read other webcomics but none hold my interest like QC. Pennyarcade is the only one that got close. I read QC in about 3day crack session and definitely loved the change in his art and style. Have to say though its his humor and character development that has me completely hooked.
-
Meh, I read my first comic about... GOD DAMN.
I read my first comic over a year ago. Wow. I've read this much longer than I thought. Anyways, my archive trawl lasted about a day and a half. I'm a rather obsessive person, and have been known to take 3-day trawls places like this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/QuestionableContent (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/QuestionableContent)
-
Gah! TVT is calling to me... must. resist.
-
oh, you're talking about TVtropes...I was looking at the "Transvestite Threesomes" site...
One of the xkcd latest strips has a TVT reference as well
http://www.xkcd.com/609/
-
Haha!
I saw that one. I spent hours on the site that night. But it's down right now, phew!
-
What is TVtropes, anyways?
-
guys qc is officially a webumanga*
* - web-manga**
** - superior japanese graphic novels
-
I LOVE LAMP!
-
Gah! TVT is calling to me... must. resist.
Oh, right. It would be awful if someone linked there.
Anyway - you can read a bit more about places with nice archives to read HERE (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ArchiveBinge). Don't hesitate to open links in new tabs, as it may become difficult to maneuver in web history.

'We' aren't shouting.
'You' are reading. Get it?
-
I started reading yesterday, and I'm already up too 454.
-
'We' aren't shouting.
SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. I, FOR ONE, ENJOY YELLING AT PEOPLE.
-
Yeah I first stumbled on it, spent 2 days reading it either at home or at work. Didnt sleep much either. Was hooked!
-
'We' aren't shouting.

Ok, but.. I'm still only reading. I'll even help you(I'm a helper. That's what I do. I help people)..here's a megaphone and a subwoofer. Yell away.

I like your style good sir. I tip my hat to you.

it took me 2 weeks of reading, while going to work, and hanging out with friends (i'm surprised i actually have a life this summer ^_^)
i've gotten a couple of people hooked on it, i know, and i LOVE. QC will now go on my list of dailies to read. maybe i'll reread it eventually, but i think that all of my fb friends will be relieved that they will no longer see links to various QC episodes come up on their newsfeeds. XD teehee.
yes. i enjoyed these past couple of weeks. it has been marvelous. i told myself that i would not visit the forums until i was completely finished, simply to avoid spoilers. i am now satisfied that i can intelligently speak about the comic, and the lives of the characters.
well, i have now lost my QC forum virginity, so i'm off to make futile attempts at conversation with all you strangers, whom i hope i will eventualy get to know, at least a little bit! :-D
-
You want a comic with a Archive big enough to keep you going for a while, ok, try Sluggy Freelance, its been around since, what, Aug '97 and its still going...
Jeph, if you read this, you've got alotta work to do...
-
Read the first 1200 strips in one day. Finished it today.
*Sigh*. It's like George R.R. Martin. It's too damned good.
-
Except you know there'll be another comic tomorrow. Only god knows when A Dance of Dragons will be out.
-
God probably has no idea either.
-
Every time you ask when A Dance With Dragons will be released, George RR Martin kills a Stark.
Please... think of the Starks.
-
No, to have to wait for the latest ones to come out is gonna suck real bad
Think that might have been setting myself up for a fall
yeah, a friend linked it on her FB wall, and i checked it out, and was hooked. took me about a week as well....was amazing to watch the progression of Jeph's artwork! the evolution of of his boobwork is nothing short of incredible.
boobs.
-
The evolution of the art was really cool to watch but I can't remember the last time I was so sucked in by a story and a bunch of fictional characters.

Ahh... I remember when QC was nothing but a guy and his robot talking about porn in a blue apartment.
Good times.
-
God dammit today's comic makes me want to read through the archive again

-
The evolution of the art was really cool to watch but I can't remember the last time I was so sucked in by a story and a bunch of fictional characters.
me too.
I also think it was an awesome idea to add the "random" button to randomly jump through the series.
-
like some others, i found it through stumbleupon then after that read the whole thing in a few days..and it definately does suck not having hundreds more strips to read and waiting every day for a new one. great comic though
-
*Sigh*. It's like George R.R. Martin, only without enough sex. It's too damned good.
Fixed.
Every time you ask when A Dance With Dragons will be released, George RR Martin kills a Stark.
Please... think of the Starks.
Hah. I'm so stealing that.

Rene Engström phrases it best describing his own comic Anders Loves Maria (http://anderslovesmaria.reneengstrom.com/):
It is a story about “adulthood” in a modern age where coming-of-age seems to be completely arbitrary.
But it's just as applicable to Questionable Content. We all have the same problems and arbitrariness as Jeph Jacques' characters, but, in most cases, his characters come up with more interesting solutions, or get away with things we wish we could. We all have our hobbies and interests and passions, yet many of us still feel like we lack direction. Jeph has managed to create a whole cast and storyline that not only can we laugh with and at, but we can also empathize with. And rereading the archives gives us hope that if his characters can solve their problems, then maybe we can too ... maybe ...
I'm sure most of us follow a couple dozen webcomics on a daily basis, but I've found very few with the emotional content of Questionable Content ...
-
I have read a lot of web comic's but the only one's i fallow and have reread are
Licd read 5 time's through 7 year's i think
qc 7 times through
Something positive 4 times through 8 year's going
Xkcd 1 time through
Cad 4 time's through
lfg 5 times through
And nothing nice to say. I read it about 3 time's though it's closed. I actually have read all his comic's mutable time's.
-
I think I tried reading this because the later comics looked really cool, then when I went to the start of the archives it was boring for ~200 strips so I stopped reading.
I did something similar. It was linked from XKCD, and the "current" strip made no sense, so I went back to the beginning. I was so turned off by the artwork and indie music references, I quit after a dozen strips.
I went back a couple of months later, not realizing I'd been there before... and it was Hanners, sledding. I went backwards to see what led to that - then another strip, and another...
Before I knew it, I'd gone through about 600 strips in reverse order. There's nothing weirder than watching a story... well, not unfold... defold? Refold? Watching characters be un-troduced, finding the origins of punchlines...
Then I came to me senses and started at the beginning. This time, it was worth it, and since I knew where they were heading, watching the art change was now fun instead of painful.
And how come no one's mentioned Octopus Pie?
-
Wow, I thought I was the only one crazy anough to pull something like this :p
I found the site through a link in Mordant Orange last wednesday (2 days ago) I I just finished reading all the stuff. Now I need to detox, it's a good thing I have to wait till monday :p
Happened the same with Something Positive, and CAD, and I almost did the same thing with Penny Arcade, but that's too much. Maybe someday...
Well, I think I'll be reading you guys often. Bye now.
-
I still remember when I read the whole story...nothing but QC for five days or so :) . I don't think it would take me as long to read the whole thing now (ignoring the fact that there are more strips), because I find myself reading comics faster now.
I also speed-read the archives of xkcd, Diesel Sweeties, pictures for sad children, CAD, and I started Anders Loves Maria the other day.
Failed archives (started but never finished): Pantheon, Dinosaur Comics, and Penny Arcade.

RE: Original Post
Get a life.
-
This is life.
-
It seems that it's becoming my life!
-
That is maybe not the best course of action.
-
YOU GUYS ARE NOOBS I REREAD ALL 6 YEARS IN 3 HOURS!!!!!
-
wow... big red font.. my eyes! ><
Anyways, I think i found out about the site about 2 years ago on one of my myspace friends page.. she had one of those quizzes and it was "Which questionable content character are you?" so i was like "What is this questionable content?" and decided to check it out. I spent about 5 hours a day for a week doing nothing but reading through it. I was so disappointed when i reached the end  ... I miss having new ones to read every single day for hours at a time.... good times.
-
BEST thing about the QC website (aside from these forums) (oh yeah, and the comic) is the RANDOM button. Lets you relive those moments you'd nearly forgotten from the last time you reread the whole thing. When I need a fix over the wekend, it provides several hours(!?!) of entertainment, and provides much the same feeling as the first time I plowed through the archives!
As for rereading the whole thing in 3 hours, that's not reading...After all, you already know what's going on! It's skimming, at best!
-
The funny part was that I ended up finding the comic due to stumbleupon. I ended up getting jumped randomly over to the comic at a random portion. I started reading some of it and ended up deciding I liked what I had seen so I went to the beginning and started reading. The comic was fairly enjoyable and nicely readable.
-
Wait, so how did it end up?
-
Horribly, for all concerned.
Now Joker's feeling this odd compulsion to post in the forum. As we all know, that's the final stage...
-
Wait, so how did it end up?
How did what end up? If you mean what I read it involved Steve hoping that his ex got 'dolphin syphilus' and then the vespavenger. I was rather confused, so I started from the beginning figuring that might help. I liked the comic, and figured I'd join the forum to comment if I saw a particularly interesting one or anything in that area.
-
The funny part was that I ended up ... I ended up getting ... and ended up deciding ...

Try this one.

Jesus Christ: The Way of the Gun is pretty fucking awesome, too.

I started reading this comic in about 2005 as a bet that I could finish reading the entire archive of comics first before another co-worker could. Then one thing lead to another and I found myself checking it everyday at work. It was my "OMG I NEED A LAUGH NOW BEFORE I VERBALLY RIP SOMEONE A NEW ONE!!!!! ( tech support is not a very positive job all the time, who would have thought.). Then I went on Mat leave and found myself still checking for a comic everyday, and here we are in 2009 and for some reason I am still sadly always checking.
-
Like I said, it ends horribly.
For all of us.
Right here.
Welcome to hell. (http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~kaminsmj/welcome.jpg)
OK, well maybe just Limbo
How low can you go?

that's what I was going to say
that's 2/3 of my friggin life right there.

Look at the bottom of that list (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/WebcomicsLongRunners).

Red Meat is at 13 years, but it's only weekly. But it's pretty rough reading.
