Have you notice every character of QC don't use the same t-shirt twice... but Marigold who uses the same over and over again?
And no, I am not trolling Jeph.
-
Have you read through the entire comic? firstly, it's in comic time, so characters sometimes wear their shirts for dozens of strips. Second, Marten repeatedly wears his TEH shirt, which is the most obvious example.
-
Also, Marigold doesn't seem to be all that concerned with personal hygiene. She may wear the same shirt multiple days in a row, and not care about it.
-
I noticed she was wearing the Yaoi Zone shirt again, bit didn't think much of it since she isn't the cleanest lady on the block.
-
Maybe she has more than one of the same shirt.
-
Until Hanners did her laundry, it was probably the only shirt se could find in that mess. Now that everythings clean, she doesn't want to get another shirt dirty.
She is wearing a purple shirt in 1429.
-
She probably has a draw full of 'em
-
I'm curious to see how well she "cleans up" after her chibi anthro-PC gets done with her.
ha cha cha cha!
-
She's also wearing the purple T-shirt in http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1440 then changes into a plain black t-shirt after Momo-tan tells her that Hannelore needs her to shower before watching the anime in http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1441 She has changed to the Yaoi one in http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1457 when Marten brings Pintsize over.
-
i thought that was just jeph showing how gross she was...

Any man or woman who fails in passing down a regimen of daily hygenics to their children is a failure as a parent and a failure as a human being.

*shrugs* It took less than a minute to look it up, and the OP was incorrect. She'd worn other shirts, presumably laundered that one, and was wearing it again.

me too. Momo-tan gonna pretty her up though.

Okay quick question... Is Marigold Freckly.. or does she have bad acne? I am having a hard time telling...
-
Acne I presume, especially with the darkish hair.
-
You don't have to be fair-haired to be fair-skinned and freckly.
-
You think she gets out in the sun enough to get freckles?
-
You only need to be burned once as a kid to have freckles all your life.
-
I think some of the spots are moles/ freckles and some of it is acne.
-
Could be a mix, I suppose. For the record, I think it is acne. I'm just saying it's not impossible for her to have freckles.
-
it's probably acne/otherwise generally bad skin. i feel like if jeph chose to draw a freckly character, it would be obvious that their freckles weren't acne. especially with the high quality of the art lately.
-
The two black spots on her right side seem to be moles since they never change locations when the redish dots, which I assume is acne, do seem to appear and disappear everytime we see her and even in different panels.
-

Wait what? Spending time in the sun doesn't give you freckles. Or if it does, I must be an exception because as a farm kid, the only time I was ever indoors was for meals, school (yes, I did go to an actual school :-P), and sleep. Every other waking moment was spent outside doing whatever; rain, shine, or snow. And I don't have a single freckle.
Then again, how did this thread go from the issue of wearing the same shirt for a few days, which there's nothing wrong with as long as it doesn't smell or have a stain on it, to Marigold's acne/complexion?
-
The formation of freckles is triggered by exposure to sunlight. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freckles)
-
The essence: Freckles are damage caused by exposure to sunlight.
-
Marigold exposed to sunlight: the mind boggles.
-
i have naturally brown hair and freckles in the classic 'ginger' pattern across my nose... (they are light, and i cover them mostly with makeup.)
i did not realize it was thought of uncommon for brunettes to have freckles.
-
Oh shit I got sunburned yesterday.

I'm a brunet... a bruno... a brown-haired dude with light freckling.
-
her shirts are reproducing

With apologies to Monty Python Surgoshan? :D ;)
-
Marten's hoodies, Marigold's t-shirts: wonder who else has reproducing clothing. I'm sure Hanners has had her clothing spayed.
-

Is there a problem with wearing a shirt multiple days in a row??
-
Depends on whether or not you're going out in public, if you live with someone, how much body odor/sweat you produce, and how much dust/cat hair/general filth gathers on it. However, someone like Marigold who isn't that naturally attentive to cleanliness should change their shirt daily as a reminder to themselves that they're going to keep clean from now on. Helps with one's mood as well, in my experience.

Freckles are caused by exposure to the sun, but they're also a genetic trait. In short, if you don't have that trait, you can spend all your life in the sun and never get freckles, and if you do, a couple of days exposure can have them show up.

If wearing a shirt multiple days in a row is wrong. I don't wanna be right.
