Any múm fans here? Their new album, Sing Along To Songs You Don't Know, will be released at the end of August. As with their last album, though, it's been leaked - and it is AWESOME.
Much more indie-folkish, but with splidges and spladges of their older albums here and there.
If you don't know múm, they're a ten-year-old Icelandic band with an utterly adorable and always-changing style. Look at their website! http://www.mum.is (http://www.mum.is)

i like it, but i was a little dissapointed. im not even sure where they went wrong, the change of sound was subtle but i guess just a little too much in the wrong direction for me.
ah well ill still listen to it a whole bunch and buy it when it comes out. : D

Checking in. After repeated listens, I thought I liked this one more than the previous one, but then this thought made me revisit the previous one and I decided I liked that one a lot more than before.
I guess the moral of the story is all múm albums are awesome and the latest one is no exception. Definitely up there with their best work.

I thought this was going to be a variation of the thread where people record themselves singing songs they like. Aw.
-
So did I.

DISAPOINTED
-
Hereby voting that we turn this thread into us singing songs that we do not know.
-
How about you record yourself singing what you'd imagine the new múm albums sounds like, without having actually heard it?
-
considering i've never heard of mum let alone their music this sounds quite amusing

Pointless trivia: The song "The Overdrive" from Remain In Light was Talking Heads' attempt to do a Joy Division song having never listened to Joy Division.
-
I should do a cover of The Overdrive in a Müm style, despite having never listened to Joy Division, Müm, and only know two songs by Talking Heads.

múm (pronounced [muːm], "moom") are an experimental Icelandic musical group whose music is characterized by soft vocals, electronic glitch beats and effects, and a variety of traditional and unconventional instruments.
Going by that, and the lyrics, here is me singing (and playing) along to a song I don't know. (If I Were A Fish, apparently the first on their album)

I like Mum, "Finally We Are No One" is an outstanding record. This new one, however, is rather pedestrian.
"The smell of today is sweet like breastmilk in the wind"
Ok, yeah, now I want to punch someone other than Sufjan Stevens.
