Hey everybody.
I need to tap into your brains for a sec. I've kinda almost filled my laptop's hard drive with music, and have purchased a Western Digital My Book 500gig (http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=355) external hard drive.
Does anybody have experience moving their music files to an external and still having them work through iTunes? I am looking to get the music off of my laptop hard drive, and only being able to listen to them if my computer is hooked up to the external.
Any advice will be rewarded with a big internet hi-five...

I've done this twice. iTunes has this nice feature where it keeps music folders organised in your music library. Just move the location of the library to the external hard drive and copy the files when it asks you to.
