...will be discontinued by the end of the year, after 20 years of publication.
Anyone care?

I kind of do. I mean I don't get it now but I loved it as a little kid, especially the comics.
-
Yeah the comics were my favorite part too.

I still have most of my old issues, probably dating from 1997-2002. Sadly many issues (particularly the oldest ones) are missing their covers or have been almost completely worn out from being read so many times.
Nickelodeon has been dead to me since they became the 24 hour Spongebob network, anyway.

i always wanted this when i was a kid but my mom would never get it for me.
oh well.

Dude, thats not cool.

I loved that magazine. I was so glad when my mom got me a subscription!
It seems a lot different though now. It could be that I've just grown up (oh god, the first sign of being elderly.. the "things aren't what they used to be" syndrome).
I think I agree with Bicostp, though. The network has pretty much become Spongebob central. I like Spongebob and all, but Nickelodeon was great because it had a great variety. I think the magazine is going the way of the channel. So, I have to say...I don't think I'm all that sad to see it go. I would be stoked to get my hands on some older issues though. :)

I recently came across my "cache" of Nickelodeon Magazines while sorting/liquidating my childhood possessions. It is sad to find out that the magazine is no more...
I have the first 19 issues (1993-1995), and don't have the space etc. for them so they're now up on eBay if anyone is interested. My apologies if this post is considered tinned pork product...

oooh yes, I remember that cover! All the ren and stimpy comics were great. I also remember getting the disney magazine at around that time, it was HUGE if I remember correctly, like, at least a hundred pages, I swear.
