tonight's script is done! It's, uh...it's pretty dark by my standards! #hahawoo?
Sounds like Steve and Cosette's date might really end badly. What do you think? Half of the comic is done already, so we'll probably see it soon.
-
But if Jeph kills David - how will I get my Shortpacked fix?
-
Eh. They can get a ghost-writer in.
-
But if Jeph kills David - how will I get my Shortpacked fix?
No one said that the truck would kill him. He'd probably end up like Stephen King. Only, not as good. And he'd probably need reconstructive surgery. And a colostomy bag.
EDIT: This is all speculation, of course.
-
The poll voting is going just as I would have predicted.
Dark? Was it a...black bear?
Dadaism? Trolling. Cubism? Trolling. Abstraction? Minimalism? Found objects? Trolling. Taking a shit on the Virgin Mary? EPIC TROLL.

As my archive grows ever larger and more intimidating I'm gonna have to watch out and make sure new strips don't devolve entirely into references to things that happened hundreds of strips ago.
That's not the real problem. The real problem is that, with a bigger and bigger archive, sooner or later you'll slip up with an an accidental continuity error, which will be pounced on in this forum and debated to death.
-
s it just me or does Collete seem a little bit sluttish?
-
just you
-
THEY ARE GONNA GO UPSTAIRS TO FUCK AND SHE IS GONNA TURN OUT TO ONLY BE 16.
oh wait that one happened already

Those already exist, actually.
Cough cough. (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,9135.msg679845.html#msg679845)

Okay, I wasn't sure about Steve+Cosette before, but I'm rooting for them now. Cosette is a nut, but like much of the cast, she's a downright adorable nut.
-
...
Now whats a nut ?? ?? ??
-
Nut: crazy, mad, insane.
-
(Before you email me THAT LAST PARAGRAPH WAS A JOKE. Some of you people have no grasp of the concept of sarcasm.)
Not unlike a certain new QC character, it seems. I still have no idea what to think about Cosette, I guess that's a good thing.
-
I just think that Cosette has had such bad luck with guys that she wouldn't be surprised if a guy had a "relationship" with a bear.
I don't think she has zero grasp of sarcasm.
I haven't been to quite that level of frustration, but...
-
Yeah, but which one do you think would object most strongly to the suggestion of a threesome? Cosette, Steve, or Ms. Bear?
-
I think Ms Bear would object, unless she could eat them afterwords. ;)
-
Cosette is a nut, but like much of the cast, she has crippling psychological problems.
-
Yeah, but which one do you think would object most strongly to the suggestion of a threesome? Cosette, Steve, or Ms. Bear?
I think Steve.
Cosette is so desperate I think she would leap at the chance :-P, Ms. Bear would just eat them both afterwards (after they had been tenderized), but Steve seems to be aiming for something a little more normal.
Did I just try to apply logic to that idea? I need more sleep.
-
"Jeez, so many (okay, just two) callbacks in this strip. As my archive grows ever larger and more intimidating I'm gonna have to watch out and make sure new strips don't devolve entirely into references to things that happened hundreds of strips ago."
Beware the Dark Side® or you'll turn into Sluggy Freelance!
-
... sometimes you feel up a nut ... (hums)
-
s it just me or does Collete seem a little bit sluttish?
No, just... over eager. Bear or not, she's apparantly dated much worse than Steve!
Funny how she thinks the whole DoKYA adventure is a tall tale, but takes the bear serieously...! It does make you wonder who she's been dating before now. With her luck, it was probably the furry that accosted Dora at NrdCon!
-
s it just me or does Collete seem a little bit sluttish?
god forbid a woman want to have sex! that might lead to DANCING or TEEN PREGNANCY or GENDER EQUALITY.
can't have that, can we?
-
Lord no - there is no way that women should sink to our level!
-
*gasp* Not pre-marital dancing! What would Hanners think?
-
Mixed dehncing? Oy vey! What would the rebbe think?
-
Rabbi, schmabbi. I'm going to dance.
You can join me or not.
Of course, that doesn't really work for sex...
-
God forbid Cosette's on crutches and maybe wants to continue the conversation while taking a load* off her armpits. That would be too puritanical, or something. Yep, it's sex, secks and the sexing all the way!
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
*And don't think for an instant I don't know what someone's going to do with that, especially now that I've made this stupid comment about it.
-
Cosette's resignation reminds me of Marten's in #525.
-
poor cosette
-
Poor Cosette. Finds the man of her dreams, invites him to her room, completely forgetting that she's left out her little stalker's shrine...
-
if the story is correct, she fell and broker her leg before she got a chance to build it
-
Wait, is this when we find out that Cosette is actually volcano-island-guy's secret daughter out to avenge her father's defeat at the hands of steve-o? I mean, between the photograph and the story, she's got enough to confirm his ID already...
-
I bet her last boyfriend had dated a kakapo. http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/watch?v=9T1vfsHYiKY&client=mv-google
Hopefully worst luck in the world girl will have other qualities.
...we can be pretty sure she doesn't have pets.
-
Rabbi, schmabbi. I'm going to dance.
You can join me or not.
Of course, that doesn't really work for sex...
You can dance if you want to.
You can leave your friends behind.
Because your friends don't dance and if they don't dance...

I want a Team Riker t-shirt so badly it hurts.

WELL THEY'RE NO FRIENDS OF MINE.
...I think I enjoy far, far too much 80s music.
-
Is that a scarf or a neck brace? If it's a scarf, and she wears a scarf during sex... Hmm... Well, as long as it's not for asphyxiation purposes I guess I won't twitch too much.
If it's a neck brace then Meh... carry on.
-
Proust in his first book wrote about, wrote about ...

I've never bothered going by the dorms when I have my own (read: parent's) house 10 miles away. Is stuff like this a common occurrence?

I think I've seen that porno, or at least that drawing on danbooru. I'm sorry, but you forced my hand*
And take from that what you will.

That's because so much of it was brain-wormy, while today's music is by and large very hard to hum to.
-
Fine. But anybody show up with a tambourine-wielding dwa—
(Okay. I had to go watch the video for "Safety Dance" to recall what the dwarf was playing—but I listened to My Morning Jacket's "Gideon." Thing is, video made about as much sense with that tune as with the original.)

YEAH! GO TEAM ENTERPRISE!

Um, uh Steve, check your fly.

I've lived in this dorm. The fuckers on the second floor always set the alarms off by microwaving popcorn.

I've lived in this dorm. The fuckers on the second floor always set the alarms off by microwaving popcorn.
Eh, it could be worse. For a couple of years, I dated a couple of women in the old Hopkins A & B at Smith (which were torn down about a dozen years ago). The buildings were so antiquated they didn't HAVE fire escapes; what they did have were knotted ropes with loops with which students were expected to rappel out of the windows in case of actual emergency.
I really am not making this up.

Yeah that would be terrible.

This strip brought back memories of dating a guy that lived in an all guys dorm. It awkwardly hilarious when the alarms would go off at night, then you would have a few of us girls trying to be invisible, and hoping people notice the guy with a penis sharpied on his face instead of us.
-
Wow, is that a pink condom stuck in Steve's zipper in panel 2? Classy...
Also, the title of the strip had me laughing more than the actual punchline.
EDIT: Also noticed...the person on the extreme left with half her face cut off in panel 2 looks like Velma....just sayin... :?
-
We need Team Riker shirts, like now.
-
Wait, why is Steve hanging out with these random dudes while his special lady is standing out in the cold? All by herself. On crutches.
-
Akoronnick,
Probably because it is a girls' dormitory and it would look bad for a bunch of guys to be lounging with the girls after a smoke alarm (real or false).
As for strip #1552,
Team Riker = awesome. Go Steve & Cosette too.
Boyfriend Waiting Area. Coffee, cognac, & camaraderie, wish I had that during my datings of youth.
Also, nice touch with the one guy (turtleneck) in the waiting area reading Proust, goes really well with the other guy having cognac :-) .
-
They're sitting in easy chairs fifteen feet from the front door. It's pretty obvious why they are there. Why do they need to make themselves scarce? If they are not allowed in the dorm wouldn't they want to be anywhere but near the scene of the crime, as it were?
-
Weirder things happen at dormitories.
-

Have you never been to a school where the standard fire drill is for everyone to wander out onto the nearest field where the population will be checked against the list of known residents?
-
No. All the dorms where I have lived I was free to come and go and have visitors as I pleased.
What would happen if a resident was not at home when the alarm went off?
Do they have to sign out every time they leave the building?
Is there a curfew? Last time I checked it wasn't 1962 anymore.
If visitors are allowed, how would they be accounted for?
If they are not allowed, how would they be kept away from the residents when everyone is outside, in public?
Are residents forbidden from seeking other places of repose when the fire alarm sounds?
I know that high schools treat their charges more like inmates than students these days, but I don't think colleges are like that (yet.)
-
The dorm I lived in had a sign-in, and people could only stay a certain amount of days in a row. There wasn't a curfew so much as 'quiet hours', and those were only really during exams. During exams we couldn't have guests either >_<. And, during fire alarms, we didn't tend to go anywhere, because you never knew how quickly you'd be allowed back in!
-
An alarming number of uni dorms do still have check-ins and outs, possibly accomplished by means of a smart card these days, especially on-campus dormitories.
Most of the time it has nothing to do with keeping strangers out or preventing people from interacting (especially in the cases of mixed dorms) and more to do with ensuring everyone can be accounted for in an emergency. Such as when the fire alarm sounds.
As for being forbidden from going elsewhere when the alarm sounds, I never heard of anyone being detained longer than it takes to get their name ticked off the list as "exited the building" so there is generally a rush toward the clipboard-wielder. Not getting checked out is considered bad form.
-
This strip brought back memories (dating back 18 years) of living in rez.
Other than the ooportunity to see what she looks like at 2AM without her hair or makeup done there really isn't a plus. And at at -30 it really sucked.
-
Have you never been to a school where the standard fire drill is for everyone to wander out onto the nearest field where the population will be checked against the list of known residents?
Maybe, but Smith hasn't been one of them.
-
blonde guy is SMOKIN'HOT.
i bet he's what set off the alarm.

It's been, ah, some time, but way back when we had check ins and outs, and, technically, anyway, god help you if you got caught with a girl in the room, not signed in, after visitor's hours—started the year after I was a freshman. Luckily, at the upperclassman male dorms no one but the dorm manager (officially) and a few suta* RA's ever cared. Not so at the female dorms.
Maybe they had more sticks.
*Stick up their ass
-
Could be worse. The Team Riker poster could have been this pic: (http://www.timvp.com/riker.jpg)
*obligatory righteous indignation that a young woman can't enjoy sex without being a slut*
When I was in grad school, I lived in co-ed grad student housing. We just had carved slivvers of metal, laughingly referred to as keys, to check our comings* and goings. (Everyone knows real keys are 4096-bits.) In theory, if we had a guest for a week or more, we were supposed to pay a "rent" fee.
I remember one late-night winter fire alarm that had a bunch of young men and women milling around in their PJs outside. One guy who rolled his own cigarettes from pouch tobacco started rolling one right there in front of the campus mall cops. I gleaned copious entertainment from watching their eyes light up, but there wasn't the first thing they could do about it.
It's been mentioned, but, Steve... digging the fuscia briefs, dude.
* Write your own joke here.
-
Eeeeewwww No-Beard-Riker! Just Eweeewwww

Are you thiinking of that old joke, "Do you smoke after sex?"?
-

Nooooooooooooooo!
It coulda been worse - It coulda been a Team Worf Poster
Please, I'd totally go Team Warf. I likes my men difficult and growly. Plus ... there's the biting ... which is ... you know ... kind of a plus ... ok ... bye now!
I'll be honest ... I never liked Riker much.
Can there be a Team Picard? I still find it funny that at the age of 11 I thought the hottest guy on tv was an old bald guy.
-
I remember living in a college dorm. The constant fire drills in winter, followed up by the fire department lecture.
The fire department totally blind to the fact that people wouldn't stop to get their shoes if they knew it was a real fire. I used to slink out the back and go for a walk to avoid the lecture.
-
We had fire drills, which was mainly an excuse to make sure underclassmen (ie: Anyone under 21) didn't have booze in the apartments. So if people took forever to get out, it was because they were hiding their booze. (Yay, party schools.) It took a rid-damn-diculous amount of time for the fire department to get there, too,
This is why when, if there was a fire drill, we would head over to Taco Bell as soon as we were out. 40* weather, no matter how you look at it, is cold when you're standing in it for ages.
-
It would be funny if there were a real fire - then Marten's prediction about the date could potentially come true.
-
A friend of mine named Francis* was put into a women's dorm at Purdue. It was two weeks before housing caught up with him ad transferred him into a men's dorm...
The RA's at the door just assumed he was someone's boyfriend coming and going!
* - last name withheld, I haven't seen him in 20 years, and he was always touchy about this...
-
It would be funny if there were a real fire - then Marten's prediction about the date could potentially come true.
Prophetical cockblocking. Marten predicts fire; so Steve dies, Cosette catches on fire, and then to add insult to injury, gets raped by RANDY.
In other news, QC's archive is being eaten by grues again. It's that same corrupt image error from last week.
-
I am using Angus's line in the last panel at the next opportunity, because it is so sarcastically awesome
Cue argument: is Marigold's hair better or worse?
Personally, my opinion is MEH.
-
d'aww blushy comic today. :-D
-
"I'll wash you more than twice a year!" is the best retort ever. Only someone as adorably socially inept as Marigold could come up with that.
-
(http://i50.tinypic.com/e19h6p.jpg)
-
Haven't laughed this hard at this comic in a while. Both from Marigold's comment and Angus's freaking excellent sarcasm.
-
Definitely a student/master relationship that's developing.
It worries me that Angus is the master here, his social skills need some work, too. Not nearly as much as Marigolds, but still...
As foir the haircut, you can see her face. It's a psychological improvement, she's not hiding anymore!
Makes it harder to hide the blushing...
-
"I'll wash you more than twice a year!" is the best retort ever.
I think she should've gone for the classic "Your Mom should wash more than twice a year!"
-

By definition, "your mom" lines don't need a "if you know what I mean". It's like fortune cookies.

wow looks like she would need to use a lot of hair spray to look like the girl in that picture you posted.
-
Is it just me or does her new haircut bear a resemblance to that of a certain acerbic barista that Angus likes to spend time with?
-
I hate to be one of "Those" people... but the style change for Marigold is particularly cute.
-
wow looks like she would need to use a lot of hair spray to look like the girl in that picture you posted.
No just lots and lots of hair and someone with a giant church fan and a generator following you everywhere. XD
-
Is it just me or does her new haircut bear a resemblance to that of a certain acerbic barista that Angus likes to spend time with?
Just you. Faye's bangs are so angled they almost aren't (bangs), she has a part, and her hair, these days, anyway, doesn't frame her face the way Marigold's does.
For the record, Rushuna Tendo (A) does exist and (2) looks like this:
So Marigold forgot to specify she needed to be blonde and, aside from the bangs, have copious amounts of Miracle Grow for Hair applied. That's not big hair, that's freaking enormous hair. And possibly prehensile.
-

I was going to put that in parentheses with "and I think you do" to address to the reader, but accidentally hit post and decided to leave it.
On another note, fortune cookies are tasty!

Hey, better to wish for big boobs in an almost completely boob-less society than to starve yourself striving for a skinny ideal (though she's skinny too, so nevermind).
So Marigold forgot to specify she needed to be blonde and, aside from the bangs, have copious amounts of Miracle Grow for Hair applied. That's not big hair, that's freaking enormous hair. And possibly prehensile.
Welcome to anime and the foibles of those who try to cosplay.
-
Is it just me or does her new haircut bear a resemblance to that of a certain acerbic barista that Angus likes to spend time with?
No, Faye doesn't have bangs like Marigold does now. To be honest, the first thing that sprang to mind when Marigold asked 'Do you like it?' was 'No.' Eh, it'll grow on me.
-
Next comic will see Angus on the floor clutching his crotch
Poor MariBear, she's just not cut out for witty repartee - YET! :-D
-
Angus really has no idea he is flirting. Poor girl is being set up for disappointment. I sympathize with the dude, though, as I flirt automatically often without even realizing it. Much drama follows.
-
I think Angus' issue is that he's obviously a socialite, and typically upfront about things. If he likes something, he'll say it. He's nice enough to typically hold back needlessly negative comments, however.
And according to Faye at least, Angus is a rather attractive guy. So you've got the attractive factor, the confident thing, and the fact that he obviously likes Marigold, though seemingly not in any romantic sense.
-
40* weather, no matter how you look at it, is cold when you're standing in it for ages.
Except if you look at it in celsius.
-
...and those precancerous lesions that seem to be crawling around her cheek...
Those are blackheads, I believe.
Actually, I think the 2 black dots are beauty marks/moles (always there, mostly in the same place on her face), and only the red dots are acne.
-
I'm not sure Marigold really has a crush on Angus, but she thinks she does. It's just that Angus is the only guy she knows really well, so her affections default to him.
If she met some other guy who showed even a small amount of interest in her, she'd be all "Angus who?" in about 3.8 seconds.
We need to introduce her to some socially awkward, shy, anime nerd who's never had a girfriend, although I have a feeling that their first date would consist of them glancing back and forth at one another and not talking for about three hours.
And no, Angus doesn't see any of this.
He is completely clueless vis-a-vis Marigold's attraction to him.
-

Wow, you are all kinds of wrong.
-
Care to say why? Or are you too pleased with yourself for being an asshole?

If she met some other guy who showed even a small amount of interest in her, she'd be all "Angus who?" in about 3.8 seconds.
I'll agree with the first part, although I'm not completely sure on the second. Even a "Think she likes" can be a bit hard to let go of for something without the experience of those emotions.
And no, Angus doesn't see any of this. He is completely clueless vis-a-vis Marigold's attraction to him.
So incredibly true.
-
There is such a thing like an anime nerd ? Weird.
-
He is completely clueless vis-a-vis Marigold's attraction to him.
Which will make it all the more brutal when and if Faye and him get together.
Not to say this is Angus's fault; Marigold's just reacting to whomever's in her comfort zone at the time. When it ends up punching her in the face, it'll be because she absolutely refuses to step a foot out of that comfort zone unless someone's practically stabbing her with a cattle prod.
Speaking of whom, where the hell IS Momo?
-
Maybe it's just me, but if Marigold ever does the sweater/skirt combo and can find a talking dog - she'll probably have no shortage of simpering fanboys.
-
First response was - Mar needs more coffee - next was Angus may like that.
And barbers getting hair wrong is why I developed the easy hairstyle (0 back and sides - trim and thin the top please).
-
Going bald was a blessing in dsguise. Nothing to trim on top, ad I take clippers (1/8") to the little ring on the back and sides, then down over the beard. Quick, easy and free.
No razors, though. Maybe someday. Shaving needs done almost daily, this I can every other week or so.
And as for looking like the blonde anime girl, you'd need implants, too, and an antigravity device. I'd say a corset, but we've been through that already.
Lastly, I don't think Marigold's crushing on Angus. Not yet. I'm not ruling it out, but I think she knows better. And if she does/is, I think he'd be aware of it, at least as aware as any guy can be of that sort of thing.
Never mind, that would be complete oblivion, wouldn't it?
-
As a male, it is perfectly possible for one of us to be completely oblivious to female interest. We can oblivious to female disinterest - and so the opposite is also possible.
But for the record, don't know if she's crushing or not - maybe I'll care later, after I contemplate all the snow shovelling I have to do....
-
maybe I'll care later, after I contemplate all the snow shovelling I have to do....
I'll think of you when I next run my snow blower.

So Marigold forgot to specify she needed to be blonde and, aside from the bangs, have copious amounts of Miracle Grow for Hair applied. That's not big hair, that's freaking enormous hair. And possibly prehensile.
Meru from Zetsubo Sensei does not approve, and is letting Marigold know!

maybe I'll care later, after I contemplate all the snow shovelling I have to do....
I'll think of you when I next run my snow blower.
booyah
The thought ran through my mind here is unprintable in a family magazine - but since this is the internet - "You are cordially invited to apply suction to the orifice of my choosing." At the moment, the snow is just blowing and about 7.5 cm has fallen - so that orifice will be the mouth of your significant other. If the 30cm they're predicting falls before I get home, I reserve the right to change that.
-
As of time of posting:
David Willis gets hit by a truck - 8 (11%)
Dora attempts to murder Luna - 5 (6.8%)
Faye admits her crush on Steve - 4 (5.5%)
Steve gets dead and Cosette pregnant and on fire after all - 38 (52.1%)
I should never do a poll again - 18 (24.7%)
Total Voters: 73
Well, there was no death, probably no pregnant, and just maybe a fire. I've got another one - against popular demand, har har - so give me some suggestions.
-

we've only gotten approx. 20cm all freaking winter. it's pissing me off, I want the additional snow for insulations!
-
I like the new haircut...and on the crush front...
I am a female nerd that went through a lot of crap in highschool. I used to blush and get all flustered in the same way Mar-Mar does whenever I received a compliment, regardless as to whether I was attracted to, much less had a crush on, whomever was delivering the compliment. I'm slightly more at ease about it now.
It can be hard not to freak out when you aren't used to people saying you're pretty.
That's not to say she doesn't have a crush, just that a crush is not required for the response she is giving.
-
20cm all winter?!?
What's that like?
Every flippin' winter the average snowfall is at least 200...
Pardon me while I go and prepare to utter a large number of profanities.
-
I feel better now.
-
Well here in Ohio we measure our snow in inches but we get a flingin' flangin' ton of those.
None yet this year, however. (That will probably change tonight.)
Updated to say that the wind is literally shaking the house.
Earlier it tried to blow me and my Honda Civic off the Interstate.
-
I feel better now.
You shouldn't, really.
I'm not hoping for http://www.valdezalaska.org/history/history.html (http://www.valdezalaska.org/history/history.html) level of snowfall, but I would like at least another dozen cm or so!!
Well here in Ohio we measure our snow in inches but we get a flingin' flangin' ton of those.
Just trying to be friendly to someone who doesn't. I measure my snow in inches, here in Alaska, I just don't have enough of them (which is what SHE said *rimshot*).
FYI, for the link-phobic, 14.3 meters/ 47 _feet_ of snow over one winter in Valdez. I was there, it was _awesome_.
-
I'd rather live in a place that measures its snow in inches or centimeters rather than feet or meters.
Meters(!) is way too much snow!
-

Well, after a certain point, the mass of the snow pressure-freezes the stuff at the bottom into a structural solid and you can build closed tunnels in it which will stay warm like an igloo. It's just such a pain to have to re-do them every year. And getting rid of the entombed tourists in spring isn't much fun either...

There is... only 27 seconds between your first post and your second post.
C = End # of cusses
c = Cuss
S = Second
27c = C/S*27
c = C/S
cs = C
Unless I am horribly and terribly and massively wrong.
Which is more than likely.
Got snow today (Bloomington, IN).
Not much though.
We're having more wind than snow.
Is Angus eating microwavable ramen?

Isn't that called a glacier?

No; glaciers happen when the snow stays all through summer too.

Hey, you asked!
I don't recall asking for your honest opinion! But what else happens this week? Jeph has already got the comics done.
-
Jeph accidentally uploaded tomorrow's comic for a short time.
I lost it in my web history. :|

haha poor cosette.

I know that high schools treat their charges more like inmates than students these days, but I don't think colleges are like that (yet.)
Well that's because colleges are, nominally, populated by adults.
Non of the 'dorms' at my university have any kind of rules on visitors and since all 2nd year + students live in off campus housing (that is to say a group of students band together and rent a house)...
Can there be a Team Picard? I still find it funny that at the age of 11 I thought the hottest guy on tv was an old bald guy.
But it's Patrick Stewart, so it's understandable. More than understandable.

What does she look like then?
-
haha poor cosette.
and poor Steve. He's going to have to live with the crushing guilt... until the next girl.
Well, Luna did try to warn Cosette, it's really not Steve's fault, but damn that wold be shitty.
I had a bicycling accident once, someone opened a car door as I was going down a steep hill. I flew 30 feet, and landed on my back. Couldn't move or feel my legs, I'd cracked my sacrum and had paralysis from the shock. When the ambulence finally got me to the hospital, I suddenly felt something weird in my one foot. I told the paramedic, and he said "Good! I've been pinching that foot for over half an hour!"
Full recovery. Still can't sit on a hard bench for any length of time, though. Tingles the legs a bit.
The bike didn't survive. Neither did the car door.
-
Grud ya gotta feel sorry for these two
They just can't seem to catch a break
-
Then the Ambulance crashes on the way to the hospital.

I hear you. Up here in Cleveland we've lost power twice today due to high winds: once at work in the middle of surgery (and our building has no windows) and just a bit ago for almost two hours. I'm currently charging my cell phone while I have a chance, just in case.
-
Comics are just weird atm.
-
Way to go, man of steel; you just torn your woman of kleenex asunder.
-
Oh darn, Steve just keeps getting f***ed (metaphorically speaking). Poor Cosette, I hope she'll be alright.

See, here I thought the problem was that she had far too many of them.
-
Yikes! :-o Well, her toes are wiggling, so that's a good sign, I guess. I'm thinking she popped her apical ligament. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apical_ligament_of_dens) I'm told that can happen if you traction the neck following severe neck injuries. It's considered a medical emergency. Poor Cosette. :-(

Looks like the guy from Reno 911. Probably the glasses, though.
-
Jeph left out the panel where Steve asks Cossete if she minds if he finishes before calling 911 because her reply even melted the Yelling Bird's ears.
-
The girl is a walking (well, not so much now) disaster. At this rate she's going to be Stephen Hawking without the brain.
Maybe not. There are a few small motion lines around her feet, so she's probably not paralyzed.
-
I thought the guy who hung around with the Brain was named Pinky, not Stephen.
I suppose Jeph might paralyze Cosette, but that's a little dark, and wouldn't be nearly as funny as…no, I'll not game it. Hums a few bars from a Marvin Gaye song.
-
Cosette gets impaled of course, because look at whats written on the car.
-

Not possible. Yelling Bird doesn't have ears to melt; that is why he yells all the time.
-
Cossete is deep throating...deep throating across the universe.
-
Me imagines two students seeing the ambulance arriving:
"Hey, look, an ambulance!
- Yeah. Probably for Cosette. Again."

Oh man its been months since i had a look in here. Anyway 2 things
1 YAY for another PINTSIZE comic
2 What kind of name is Cosette anyway? sounds too close to closet or corsette. I guess I shouldn't complain because I (we) named our middle daughter Colette. I justify that choice with the explanation that we couldn't call her Nicole (all the Nicole's i knew save one of the wife's friends were extreme bitches). Nicolette wouldn't work because it sounds too much like Nicorette (we don't smoke so no).
-

Heh, agreed. And at least Pintsize didn't have to remote steer the Roomba -- they barely hit the ramp with that bus!
Regarding Cosette: I think Riker may be a jinx. HE wants to be gettin' it on with the ladies, so any time she attempts it with anyone else, it is doomed to failure. Maybe she should switch to Team Worf after all -- only possible hazard there is developing a taste for prune juice . . .
Oh, and I wanted to vote for "All of the above" in the current poll. :-D
-
2 What kind of name is Cosette anyway?
An ironic one, considering her bad luck streak.
http://www.babynames.com/name/COSETTE
The meaning of the name Cosette is: Victorious People
The origin of the name Cosette is: French
-
Losing a few battles does not equal losing the war, and that is victory. Cosette's day will come. Oh, yes, you'll all want to be her friend then. Or would, if she were real.

I don't know about that, do you have any idea how, how shall we say, vigorous a Klingon mating ritual can be?
-
Ah, that's what happened to her.
-

Human females are too fragile.

IIRC, Worf's women tend to die early, which would not bode well for Cosette either. Better to be team Dat... Geor... Pica...
...
Wesley? Well, at least there you get the alien drug helmet...

Yep, you'll never hear of Kirk meeting an Alien Female and saying, "Eh, she's not my type."

That was only technically female.
