Also because it'd be pretty egregious for a band that recorded spoken anti-capitalist rants on their albums to declare they are Fucking Dead (but only for 12 years guys)

Seriously, what the hell is it with all the reunions? Voorhees are doing another one-off reunion and apparently Unbroken are back too (and charging £20 a ticket, which is total bullshit). Much as I'm gutted that I didn't see Refused back in the day I can't say I'm really that bothered by this. Admittedly if they play Leeds, it's a reasonable price and they have proper supports then I'll probably go, but I can't be arsed shelling out serious cash just for a nostalgia trip.

I'd kill to have seen that, but I can't. It's just not '95 anymore and it won't be like it was back when they were first around. You just know they'll play shite venues, or maybe big festivals with no other bands anyone will want to see so it'll be a case of paying over £100 to see Refused in some tent that's sponsored by a beer company. Which pretty much removes the point of Refused anyway.

Maybe I'm completely wrong. Maybe they'll rip it up live and refuse to play anywhere that charges more than £5 in with all local DIY supports and it won't be like watching the Refused cabaret, but I really doubt it.

If they do it, I'd definitely go - but it does kinda piss on their principles a bit. Even if they aren't necessarily principles I agree with entirely.

They used to hang around with the Cro-Mags and that back in the day and their music always had a hefty hardcore influence, hardly surprising they're into Refused.
