Title: Finally!
Post by: ShreddingMyNotes on 14 Apr 2010, 00:33
...in case anyone is interested, my film featuring Man Man, Maria Taylor, Pedro The Lion, Sorry About Dresden, Skybox, and more is finally available for viewing on IMDB at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1326910/ (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1326910/).  Let me know what you think if you're so inclined.

Sorry About Dresden

I look forward to hearing the bands Nothing Personal, Nagasaki and Upon Reflection The Firebombing of Tokyo Was A Bit Over The Top.

I am expressing my disgust through sarcasm.

Too soon...?

Edit - someone already made this joke in another sub-forum. Threaders.

Maybe they actually are genuinely sorry about Dresden?

Yes but I do think that there are appropriate and inappropriate means by which to convey such a sentiment. But then I'm old-fashioned.

Plus the wording makes it sound like the Allies accidentally dropped Dresden and broke it when they were helping Germany move house. But then I guess "While nobody is denying that Germany were the aggressors during the Second World War and that the Nazis were a great and almost unspeakable evil which had to be eradicated, we do at the same time recognise that some wartimes atrocities were perpetrated by the Allies, one of which was the bombing of Dresden, and we would like to offer our sincere apologies for those atrocities" is a bit long for a band name.

Anyway if I ever see this film I'll let you know what I think.

You guys realize that Sorry About Dresden was invited to play the Dresden's 800th anniversary concert?  Germany, in particular, has responded well to them.

If you know anything about indie rock, the movie will be funny.  Just check it out.  Yeesh...
