Does anyone know how to turn off the feature on iTunes where it automatically changes your cursor to the current song whenever the song changes? It's really annoying when I'm trying to edit my library and listen to music at the same time and the song changes and I have to scroll all the way back down to where I was editing.

Without using a different program. I like iTunes, I just dislike this one feature.

The easiest fix that I can see is to just change the view from list to grid (to the left of the search bar, that way you can edit your library through either artist or album.

The grid thing rubs me the wrong way too, as I like to be able to see individual songs listed.

I don't think I've ever experienced this thing that you are describing? I don't know.
Anyway what I usually do if I want to edit my library and have tunes playing at the same time is have what I'm playing in a playlist and edit the main library, or vice versa.

When you are playing songs & rearranging your library, right click the songs and choose either "Play next in iTunes DJ" or "Add to iTunes DJ". The songs you pick will still play, but because they're not playing through your library, it won't make the screen jump from where you are to whatever the next song is.

Foobar is still better.
