Post by: tuxedobob on 08 Sep 2010, 18:25
The twitter feed says Dora's flute is backwards and he'll fix it later. What the heck is he talking about?

The European flute is normally built so that the main length of the tube extends to the right from the player's mouth, but left-handed flutes (http://www.mcgee-flutes.com/LH-flutes.htm) have been built in the past.

It is indeed a theremin. The shape of the box in the middle that holds the electronics isn't very relevant. It's the two antennae that are crucial. There are lots of theremin videos on YouTube; this is one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mW0B1sipLBI
