QC 1799 or as I call it a "bambis mother got killed"-look
Time for some reflection on the comic and some good old sadness reduction via black humor.

Panel 4+5: Seeing that eyes (nice work, Mr J.), looking like an anime char. You can actually see how his souls gets beaten and humped by a 250 pound prisoner in Shawshank.
And now make a game of it: What mean and vile sentence could there be in that speech bubbles instead, with the same result.
My first pick would be: My parents called and confessed, they adopted me. I'm your sister!
Just for measures, that's a bit more that the original sentence. But, even eye muscles can only be stretchet so wide.
If you don't think that's funny, maybe that will help you.
All of you that are annoyed from and angry at Dora (she's fiction!), do this:
Imagine a Faye before confessing her life story to her friends, you know the punching and very violent active-aggressive Faye. Think what she would have down, after hearing that story... maybe that helps.
I'd like to have such a female friend. At least when someone shots me down like that. Oh, or a Hannelore, with a evil coporate overlord as mom and a dad with his own spacestation (which has to have a deathray).
But on the other side, Marten is a thankful victim and not able to handle that situation.
There, in QC1797 (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1797)in the panels 3 and 4, thats the point where a big biker dude should show up, and hand him his own pair of balls of steel. Just loosing them, after 2 panels. Not just loosing them, but his set of BoS should be handed to a blacksmith for melting them down.
Considering all that, Mr. J. you torture this young man WAAAAAAAY to much.

That's actually more or less what my face looked like when I learned about the 3D Star Wars.
Though for extra emphasis, i'd draw one of Marty's arms holding a gun to his head.

1st bubble: me and your mom had an affair, she was waaaaay better than you...
2nd bubble: ...and don't make me tell about the threesome with your dad and his boyfriend.
