Title: Bande Dessinée
Post by: StaedlerMars on 19 Apr 2011, 07:09
A couple of days ago a friend asked me about BDs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco-Belgian_comics), and aside from the ones that I devoured as a kid (Lucky Luke, Tin Tin, Jommeke, Kiekeboe, Suske & Wiske, and Nero, The Smurfs, Spirou) which are largely targeted at children and some I read recently (Largo Winch, The Chninkel), I realised I know pretty much nothing about this whole world of comic books.

Anyone know anything about these, have any recommendations? Know of any online resources to find out more about them?

I've only just started getting into to these, so here's a relative link:

Your list is peculiarly lacking any mention of Asterix.

Arzach is fantastic but it doesn't actually have any dialog. so uh I'm not sure why I mentioned it.
