Title: I feel judged.
Post by: richlitt on 21 Apr 2011, 11:04
Hello.

yep. a friend of mine sits on this forum, and we're planning on possibly maybe in the future perhaps totally going to buy a car, travel across the states (at least two of them, including Canada) and go to the meet up in SF. So, I figure I should make myself known, or at least, uh…… be here.

Hi! I'm a student. Like most people I know. In Edinburgh. I'm from Canton, CT. It sucked. Hence why I live in Scotland.

Ask me questions if you honestly want to know more. I'll be around.

Thanks for the welcome.

I do Linguistics. Just graduating from my undergrad, now, looking at MSc and PhD options. Not sure whether to go into Computional or Evolutionary Linguistics or Genetics.

Are you technically a citizen of Scotland? Don't you guys get your University time free? If so, yeah do an MSc. I'd love to do an MA but 2012 is the year I graduate from undergrad studies and have no clue how much it will cost...

But welcome, anyway (:

Also, what car are you thinking of getting?

I'm not a citizen of Scotland. Born, raised in CT. Damn. I pay through the nose, too. I may end up doing some MSc or PhD position that pays me. I have at least one - a two year Computational Linguistics MSc in Saarland and Malta. Might be alright, I guess.

Well, I was hoping to get a cheap old Jeep of some sort, of maybe a really ugly big old van we could put some couches in.
