Title: Gaga baa-baa-baa?
Post by: jwhouk on 14 May 2011, 08:32
There have been, over the years, a lot of very nonsensical things that have happened to connect the computer geeks with the music geeks.

This, however, may take the cake.

Lady Gaga has apparently teamed up with Zynga, the social media game giant who brought you FarmVille for Facebook, to provide special content from her new album Born This Way, beginning next week.

I'm... not really sure about this. It just screams WRONG WRONG WRONG on so many levels. I also wasn't sure where exactly to introduce this subject (music? computers?).

Discuss?

Yeah, not entirely sure how Gaga's stuff fits in at all with FarmVille?  Doesn't really make all that much sense to me.

The only thing I can think of is that she's a closet FarmVille player.

It's post-modern, you see. A repudiation of the art/commerce divide.

Well, I kinda repudiated her entire thing on FV. Didn't visit GagaVille at all, though I had a few Gaga-related things foisted upon me by others.

Gaga thinks she is more meaningful than she really is.
