That would be very unfortunate.
-
Yes it would; no he won't.
Welcome, new poster; look for the thread whose name starts 'WCDT'; that stands for "Weekly Comic Discussion Thread", and is the place where discussion of the week's comics takes place.

That would be very unfortunate.
It will make a quick end to the series!
no, but really Hannelore would defend him... she seems to know all sorts of crazy stuff.
Besides, Hannelore has commented several times she thinks Elliot is cute. (and artistic representation of the strip's character's mirrors at the new coffeehouse / foreshadowing have Hannelore and Elliot in matching outfits as the "Awkwards") She just needs an excuse to actually TOUCH somebody. I say it's coming soon.

Thanks for the advice... I read the new user thread after I posted... will make sure to post in appropriate thread from now on.

Honestly, i feel Marten and Padme is going to be temporary, so Elliot will end up with her. Seems things are hinting more towards Marten/Hanners... especially since Marten seems to be the only one who can actually touch her and Marten is the only one she trusts.

Anyone and Hannelore is not in the foreseeable future.
-
If I may be so vulgar I doubt Hannelore and her hand are even in the foreseeable future. I would imagine any chance at having a sex life would take a lot of therapy on top of what she's getting for her OCD.

Don't be too sure of that
<_<
>_>
*Low chuckle*
*Clasps hands behind back and walks off whistling*

No, Elliot won't kill Marten. Hannelore isn't likely to be with anyone in the near future. And perhaps it would save time if I added that Marten won't invent faster-than-light space travel this year either.
-
Awwww, maaaaaan...
-
Yeah, I know. Maybe Raven will invent a commercially viable and affordable jetpack instead. Or flying cars? I was told when I was a kid that we'd have them by now.
-
You don't have yours yet (http://www.aerocarforsale.com/)?
-
Who's Martin?
/nitpick
-
Who's Martin?!
Only the first character ever to talk to Fay.
Only the first character ever to talk to Hannelore.
Really, you should know who the characters are, just out of respect for Geoff.

I'm holding out for something like this. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo0MEQSGW8w&feature=youtube_gdata_player)

I almost linked that one, because i was supposed to be on the market this year.
But it never made it... now they're saying 2013, if they can get the funding.
-
ITS MARTEN !!!
Not "Martin" !
MARTEN !!!

Most spell checkers have the possibility to be taught new words, of course.
-
The built-in autocorrect ion iOS doesn't even have to be specifically taught them either; simply using a capitalised word consistently enough times adds it to the autocorrect inventory. My iPad has learned both Hanners and Hannelore this way. It's actually kinda freaky.
-
For the record - spellcheckers are the reason I never use any office software to type text.
It would drive me nuts concentrating to get a text out just to get interrupted by the spellchecker all the time.
-
I'm fond of the spellcheckers that run manually after the fact. That way, I can concentrate, as snubnose says, but then I can catch my damn typos.
Because I suck at typing.
Of course, re-reading my post works, too...

You do know that you can turn autocorrect off, right? Three clicks and no more interruptions.

You can always blame it on the pain pills at the moment, though.

That's true, he's planning on that for 2015

Marten will have the figurative key to FTL in his hand and think to himself, "but I don't LIKE to fly ..."
EDIT: Then again, he just might say "Welp" and (at least try to) make the jump to light speed.

I shouldn't find that so damn amusing, but I do!
The man elevates moping over good fortune to an art form I swear.
-
It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.
-
I'm still holding out hope for an Elliot/Hannelore pairing. Elliot has proven he can maintain romantic feelings over a long period of time without the need for physical contact. I think it would be sweet.

What an appropriate avatar for your first post...
and welcome!
Remember, you can hold out all you like, but shipping in general (and Hannelore in particular) is generally frowned upon. Read them stickies!
-
Yup
Especially since the Great HanTai Wars of '10 :-D ;)
If you must 'ship, it's best to keep it to yourself, the Admins and Mods tend to frown on it. It got me a weeks ban for it back then - and that's somewhat embarrassing for a Site Mod (another site, now defunct) like myself.

Sorry, didn't notice anything about shipping when I skimmed the two rules threads—seemed the standard Wheaton's Law stuff so maybe didn't read in depth. No problem respecting that wish though regarding "shipping", of course.
I am curious though, concerning a comic that is a soap opera pretty much exclusively about relationships, what is the reasoning behind limiting discussion in that regard? Sounds like there was drama. What do you all talk about on here?
-
Existing relationships can be discussed; ideas which are realistic in the context of the existing comics and the known characters and alignments of the protagonists can be raised.
Merely positing that two characters should be arbitrarily paired is not acceptable; this has all too often gone along with or led to an unpleasant creepiness. Demanding that the author, Jeph, does anything in particular is an absolute no-no - squared if it involves Hannelore.
See the Conduct in this forum (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,25614.0.html) sticky thread for a discussion of this matter that followed a particularly unpleasant period which led Jeph to consider shutting the forums down completely.
