Here we go, once more unto the breach dear friends...
-
who's going to go back to their shrink first? Faye, Dora, or Jim?
-
You forgot her scorn attack (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1445).
-
That is only used in case of boy troubles (which Jim would hope doesn't happen before the next 8-50 years).
-
I'm pretty sure that's All-Purpose Scorn.
-
You forgot her scorn attack (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1445).
Completely unrelated, but is that... Sweet Tits in the background of 1445?
-
The consensus is yes.
-
Of course it is.
-
I just had a horrible, horrible idea.
Pintsize has gotten unauthorized access to Momo before, though all he did was change her startup sound.
What if, the next time Sam interacts with Momo, Momo's new chassis is inhabited by Pintsize?
-
I don't doubt you, but could you link that?
-
Momo Gets Even. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2002)
-
How do you do that?!
-
Temporal Espresso Machine Manufacture.
-
Aw, Dora! Don't take it hard - kids are fickle things.
-
Awwwww... Looks like Dora's maternal instincts are shifting: she wants to hug Sam, not eat her, hamster-style.
That's an improvement. I guess.
"Warning - while you were reading a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post. " Natürlich...
-
The shape of Dora's eyes in 4A look really good. Also it may be the sudden "Absolutely. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2179)" and "NO" but I almost think I can hear a voice in my head for Dora.
-
Sorry Dora, you just don't have Faye's natural charm with kids.
By which I mean, like, big boobs.
-
Aw. Sam's not quite sure how to treat Dora yet.
-
Kids are naturally suspicious of people who are nice to kids. At least that's how I see it (between my mother (puts in the effort, spends time to play with them etc), and me (the soulless polar opposite), my niece and nephews seem to voluntarily hang around me for some reason...)
-
This type of scene is usually seen to me as "Fun aunt, not-so-fun aunt." The fun aunt can either be split into two catergories (or varying levels of both at once):
A: The fun aunt you learn cool stuff from, that would likely make your parents go pale in the face. This is typically what Faye is doing.
B: The "fun" aunt who you're likely to walk out of their house with an iPad, and it isn't even your birthday, but otherwise seems slightly more like the typical "out of touch mother" when she's trying to be "hip".
As for Dora... Not exactly sure why she would seem like the unfun aunt in this case. Then again, she wasn't really around for too much of it.
-
Dora was also vocally opposed to all the things Faye was busy corrupting Sam with, so that would have had an impact.
-
Dora's entire direct interaction with Sam seems to be during Faye's break (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2179), and they weren't exactly boding.
Hey, at least the kid was polite eough to say "Bye" to her!
-
If Dora's seen as a potential stepmother, doesn't that complicate the relationship? Has Sam said anything about her mother, the split, the divorce? Each of my parents remarried when I was in my early teens. I wasn't thrilled with any of it, although I got over that.
-
If Dora's seen as a potential stepmother
I think that train left the station a while ago. At least, for the near future.
-
I never really got over it with my stepmother, even when she lay practically dying in my dad's old condo.
Still - Dora just doesn't have that "huggable look" to her at the moment.
-
If Dora's seen as a potential stepmother
I think that train left the station a while ago. At least, for the near future.
Does Sam know that?
-
Yes, she does. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2179)
-
If Dora's seen as a potential stepmother
I think that train left the station a while ago. At least, for the near future.
Does Sam know that?
She has to know since this (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=2179).
(sniped)
... maybe she senses Dora's maternal instinct (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1317).
-
And yet she's still treating Dora like an unwanted potential stepmother. Then again, she just may not be sure how to treat someone her Dad used to date. Normally such people just wouldn't be around.
-
Dora didn't get a hug because her boobs aren't as pillowy as Faye's.
-
Sam senses Dora's urge to control.
-
How do you do that?!
My PT410X keeps track of all the comics for me. [/Linux Geek]

Here we go, once more unto the breach dear friends...
Or close up the wall with our multicultural dead,
In QC, there's nothing so becomes a maid
As a white tank top;
But when the blast of Indie Music blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the [eye of the] tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-to get to know barriers;
Then lend the eye a terrible prescription;
Let pry through the portage of the head
...
On, on, you noblest North Hamptonites.
Whose blood is fet from fathers of 90-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even sought
And found their bars for lack of argument:
Dishonour not your mothers; now attest
That those whom you call'd fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to file library books. And you, good barrista,
Whose limbs were made in Georgia, show us here
The mettle of your pasture; let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lust in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Dora, Coffee of Doom, and Pintsize!'
-
I'm not sure if Jim is entirely over Dora yet, and I'm willing to bet Sam senses that, even if the others haven't.
But yeah, she and Faye certainly had a lot more bonding time here than she and Dora did, so it could just be that.
-
Sam may not be super-attuned to relationship dynamics. Dora may be part of the scenery as far as she's concerned.
-
Border Reiver, my hat is off to you.
-
Here we go, once more unto the breach dear friends...
(Harfleur-hampton speech)
Starring Sir Laurence Olivier as Marten and (in a crossover of a sort) BRIAN BLESSED! as (the voice of) Pintsize.
-
wut?
(to Larry, that is - Brian Blessed sounds a splendid idea)
-
Hasn't this entire skit been an about Dora and control, as someone said?
I'm struggling to bring this together into a coherent post but here goes.
Dora has been told her control issues effect her day to day life.
Faye interacts with Sam in a way Dora doesn't approve of (Based on Dora's earlier "Faye..." comments starting in comic 2176)
It kind seems to me that Dora can't exert control over the situation and doesn't want to blow her top at Faye in front of Sam in order to gain control, perhaps because Sam's a kid and she doesn't think it'd be appropriate, or because Jim might hear about it, or even because she's trying not to be as controlling.
She certainly hasn't made a great impression on Sam, no matter what her motivations are.
But there's no conclusion to make right now - Dora's actions may have been a habitual "back off if you can't control it" or may have been her trying to be more laid back about not being in control and coming across in a slightly strange way, and I think the next couple of strips (if they stay centred on Dora) might shed some light on the matter...
-
wut?
(to Larry, that is - Brian Blessed sounds a splendid idea)
Well, I'm only even reasonably familiar with two productions of Henry V ... and I can't see Branagh as Marten. But have at it, all ... for the mind candy if for nothing else.
-
Actually I thought the whole subtle Dora / control / jealousy dynamic might've been mirrored. Faye just does what she does, Dora feels the need to control, but also maybe subconsciously to compete -- then Faye gets a hug and a warm goodbye, and Dora opens her arms for a hug, even though she didn't really show much warmth of her own to Sam -- and gets rejected. It's the whole it-all-comes-so-easy-to-Sven dynamic that Dora gets from her brother.
I dunno why people harsh on Dora, though. She's not evil -- she just has her own issues to work through.
= = =
Brian Blessed as King Henry 8.0. (look it up on YouTube).

Dora didn't get a hug because her boobs aren't as pillowy as Faye's.
She's too young for the Vulcan Boob Squish to work but she is still subconsciously drawn to them.
Maybe the jealousy Dora's feeling is actually because she wasn't the one with a face full of boob.
-
Dora could have vetoed hazardous activities on her property without necessarily being a control freak. She is, after all, the one a lawsuit would target.
-
Brian Blessed voicing Pintsize?
Faye would totally use him to send messages to her enemies...
"What to us, from the barista?"
"Scorn and defiance, slight regard, contempt,
and any thing that may not misbecome
the pretty sender..."

IMO, Bender said it best:
*cracks open a beer*
"Into the breach, meatbags."
Before they unended Futurama, that was quite possibly the greatest final scene of any TV series I've ever seen.

Isn't that from the last movie? If so, that's post-unending.
Also, lol implied Fayefart in panel 4.
-
Wonder where they're headed? Doesn't Dora drive to work these days? Or at least take the bus? I think this conversation will continue tonight, strip-time ...

Ok, the ending of the first unending. Still though...
-

I guess they're headed to FAYE/Marten's apartment... it's not like right on top of COD, is it?
Edit: oops... meant Faye's/Marten's
-
Dora lives in Amherst now: she couldn't get her old place back after the breakup.
-
Faye's walking her to her car.
It's on the way.
-
Do we have evidence that Faye has a car? She took taxis to the airport, way back, and I've always assumed she walked around.
-
Faye's walking her Dora to her Dora's car.
Pronoun misapprehension.
-
Imma go ahead and invoke Bellasario's maxim on the whereto's and the whyfore's of Faye and Dora walking together.
It's just not that important.*
*Or is it?**
**It is not.
-
Methinks thou doth protest too much there Dora
-
Oh no! Don't do it Faye! That's how Butts Disease starts!
-
Hold in the fart gas too long and it travels to the brain?
-
Merging with the brain and thus becoming a sentient being?
-
Question mark?!
-
Mark has already been questioned. Next witness. :?
-
Butts.
And also... what high school did Dora go to if she labels the
dude-I-like-with-kid-I-would-like-to-like-me-dates-someone-on-side-situation
as "high school drama"?
-
This one. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=151)
-
I've just been discreetly archive'd ... bubble popped. :-\
-
Ah yes. Leave it to nuns to run a school where the students are taught to disarm antrhopcs and to treat babysitting for someone you previously had a date with as nothing more than high school drama. I wonder what else they have on the curriculum.
-
It is possible that beating people up and stealing their cigarettes was an extracurricular activity and not a classroom thing.
-
If Dora's Catholic school was anything like my Catholic school, those were the basics in our Social Advice class.
-
Do we have evidence that Faye has a car? She took taxis to the airport, way back, and I've always assumed she walked around.
Do we have evidence that any of the main cast has cars? I don't seem to recall seeing any of them driving.
-
Raven and Dora have cars. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=621)
Tai has a car. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1916)
-
Tai has one, as does Raven (her little VW bug), and apparently Amanda has one back home in Savannah. Steve has a pickup truck. Dora has one as well, but she forgets she has it at times (though I would have to assume that's changed since she moved across the river).
(EDIT: didn't see the link to #621. Raven's bug is shown in 423.)
-
Marigold also apparently has a car (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1996).
-
OOOh, good catch!
-
I'd forgotten that one!
Ms. Chatham does, of course.
-
"No hugs for you!" Sorry Dora, you fail at larva-bonding. Faye works at it. Is it me, or does Sam have the weirdest hairline ever?
It's been a long time between fart-jokes. There is apparently a foot/cycleway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norwottuck_Rail_Trail) linking Northampton and Amherst, and the distance is around eight miles (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=Main+Street,+Northampton,+MA,+United+States&daddr=S+Pleasant+St&hl=en&ll=42.334184,-72.57431&spn=0.247703,0.229683&sll=42.374533,-72.516857&sspn=0.007427,0.011694&geocode=Fc26hQIdf7yr-ym194keRNfmiTHQsjiaZ8Xo8Q%3BFZCWhgIdam-t-w&oq=mAmherst,+MA,+United+States&t=m&dirflg=b&mra=dme&mrsp=1&sz=17&lci=bike&z=12). Dora should cycle to work!
-
Not yet mentioned: Penny's car (http://questionablecontent.net./view.php?comic=1049).
-
Which might do double duty as the Pizzamobile.
-
Oh god, Hanners got the lips now! D:
-
Not sure what that means...anyway, Winslow doesn't seem to mind.
...haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats.
-
Nothing good can come of this. We're doomed. Doomed!
Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomed!
-
Gothic Lolita? Sweet Lolita?
-
I guess Momo is feeling used at the moment. I wonder what happens when she realises being cute gives her power over Hanners and Marigold?
Ps.
On the poll question, I think that Sam already has started burning things (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1957) and I doubt there's much that Faye could teach her.
-
Is today's comic a reference to something in pop culture which I'm missing?
-
Hmmmmmm
I wonder if there's an SPCAPC?
-
Lolita culture. Popular(?) in Japan and definitely popular among weeaboos. Although when I see it, it's usually Gothic Lolita.
Also, for some reason those little hats inspire hate in me.
-
Bit of an odd strip, but given the title, I suspect this might have been at least partly inspired by an exchange the other day on Jeph's Twitter:
@jephjacques (https://twitter.com/#!/jephjacques/status/202253992292655105): nothing like internet dudes drooling over my female colleagues to make me wish I had a human hunting license
@psychomanexe (https://twitter.com/#!/psychomanexe/status/202254553775747072): do you find it not as bad or much worse than them hyper-sexualizing your characters?
@jephjacques (https://twitter.com/#!/jephjacques/status/202255005296771072): worse because they are real people
-
OK, what the hell Jeph???
-
bwwwwffffpffhahaahahahwhahasdfghgfjklahahahaaaaaaaha
is the closest transcription I can make of my reaction to today's comic. :-D
-
I don't get it
unless there is nothing to get apart from Marigold and Hanners being hilariously creepy
then I totally got it :-)
Aaaanyway, good comiiiiiiiic.
bwwwwffffpffhahaahahahwhahasdfghgfjklahahahaaaaaaaha
-
???
This is one of those "Jeph has no ideas, so he just draws random stuff" days, right? Because, seriously, wha-huh?!
-
They're purposely giving themselves a cute-overdose, seemingly getting a rush from the massive cuteness of Momo and Winslow. It's a little strange but then again we know Hanners loves cute things and Marigold's an Otaku so it totally fits lol.
Winslow is pretty darn cute

If this was a response to the Twitter peoples... scary! That being said, Neurotically Yours also suffered like that too. Humans, eh?
I would not so much call that a "cuteness overload" as than "massively disturbing".
-
Whatever Jeph is smokeing/taking that inspired today's comic:
- I want some!
- Is it legal?
-
If it were a cute overdose, I'd ecpect at least Hannelore to be EEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee'ing, but she and Marigold are just one step removed ftom "BRAAAIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNS" As Momo said, this feels wrong, somehow. And I don't like little hats.
Hanners and Marigold moght just both be drunk. Hanners might already be past the YELLING stage.
-
If it were a cute overdose, ...
Hanners and Marigold moght just both be drunk. Hanners might already be past the YELLING stage.
It doesn't look like they're drunk. Jeph uses a bunch of bubbles above/infrontof a character who is drunk. It just looks like Hanners and Mar-bear are playing a game on Momo and Winslow.
Tune in tomorrow for the exciting conclusion!
-
... or Winslow is controlling their MINDS. With his MIND POWERS that we thought were Raven's.
Because he likes the little hats.
-
raaaaaaaaaaaaandom
-
Hmmmmmm
I wonder if there's an SPCAPC?
Yes, they also come with the authority of the robot apocalypse force, standing watch and waiting for humans to slip up.
-
Momo doesn't look very Loli to me. Her hair and dress aren't nearly fancy enough.

omg, the pinprick pupils. LOLwut
-
I think they're both suffering from the same illness that makes some mothers dress their toddlers in ridiculously fancy dresses and get pictures taken. Seriously, I thought Marigold was going to be holding a camera in the last panel!
I think they're a step short of cute overload, and when the hats go on, the camera will come out, and Momo will begin charging up (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1412)...
-
Not just toddlers! I've seen the same thing happen to perfectly innocent pets, and sometimes chihuahuas too.
-
I think they're a step short of cute overload, and when the hats go on, the camera will come out, and Momo will begin charging up (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1412)...
Momo in the old chassis may have demonstrated an ability to ruin utterly http://jephjacques.com/page/53 (http://jephjacques.com/page/53) anyone's cute overload, although it may be involuntary.
-
Winslow looks bigger here than he used to. Perhaps it's just that Momo is holdinng him.
Next strip, Pintsize comes in and ruins Hannelore and Marigold's fun.
-
If Jeph's not the one smoking something, I think Angus might've made some special brownies the girls didn't realize were so special.
-
I didn't even know Jeph had colleagues, although I guess it makes sense, since QC's a business and all.
-
Momo doesn't look very Loli to me. Her hair and dress aren't nearly fancy enough.
Indeed, the dress needs 200% more frills and her hair has to be done French royalty in the 1700's style.
-
I'm praying it was just a filler strip (the original author can make filler strips for himself, can't he?) and Jeph will continue with Faye and Dora or some logical offshoot from their conversation Tuesday in the next strip.
-
On the other hand...
maybe whatever horror/stupidity that's gestating in this strip will eventually collide with our intrepid baristas.
leading back to the flamethrower/bridal gown comic...
-
On the other hand...

Now, now.
Since when has Jeph *ever* brought plot threads back together?
-
I didn't even know Jeph had colleagues, although I guess it makes sense, since QC's a business and all.
Just so. I think he was referring to other members of his profession, as a barrister might, and why not?
-
Oh ok. I wasn't criticizing his choice of word, I was just wondering who he was talking about.
-
Seems like hanging out with his colleagues must be a pleasant part of the job, whether by Twitter or at the conventions. Exhausting, too.
-
Um, yes?
I'm with Marten here.
-
Me too, but I also don't read Guitar Porn magazine. À chacun son goût.
-
Guitar porn is some of the better porn around these days.... Although I'm more of a (b)ass man myself.
-
High five!
-
Eeek! Hanners and Marigold remind me of the twin sisters, Cora and Clarice, in the Gormenghast books in this strip. I don't think this is a good thing!
-
Is there a "one cute" (because those two remind me too much of Gollum)?
-
Hannelore and Marigold are channeling the creepy doctors from Oglaf http://oglaf.com/infffirmary/1/ and http://oglaf.com/undercroft/
(Just in case there is a reader unfamiliar with Oglaf, don't read it at work. --IICIH)
-
THERE IS NOT ENOUGH OBSERVATION OF THE LITTLE HATS IN THIS THREAD
BEGIN OBSERVING THE HATS
-
YESSSS, THE HATS. YESSSSS, I SEE THEM.
Okay, this is officially my favourite QC comic ever. Can't... breathe...
I think Occams Meataxe had a point in the streaming thread, they do definitely seem to be channelling the doctors from Oglaf. Knowing that Jeph is a big fan of Oglaf, this seems quite plausible. That said, I'm not sure even Jeph knows exactly what he's doing here. Only that it is lulzy and lulzy is good.
-
High five!

LMAO "Guitar Porn"
-
I don't know about absolute favorite...
But I totally agree with can't breathe!
Creepy beyond funny!
---------
How can the same mind that took us to low Earth orbit last month, take us to this place?
LOVE IT!
-
I absolutely loved this strip, because this is how I get about cute things sometimes - I got so, so excited about the kitten cam! I am still so, so excited about the kitten cam.
-
Yeaaah. There have been several babies around here lately. Friends of my daughters keep having them. People ooh and aah, and I'm sort of "Ok, sure, tiny person."
Then they look at me. And smile.
Fuck.
-
I'm joining the "Seriously, Jeph, WTF" team here.
Thought-that-proves-it-is-too-early-in-the-morning: Marten is the collective unconscious of the WCDT given shape through Jeph's pen. He is us.
-
Is there a "one cute" (because those two remind me too much of Gollum)?
One Cute to rule them all, One Cute to find them,
One Cute to bring them all, and in the kawaii bind them.
In the Harajuku where little hats lie.
-
I think Momo and Winslow have to take their broken "owners" to the local Human Repair Centre. I know my internal processing unit is currently blue screening from the comic. Error code 0xbr41nd3d.
Yes, I'm aware that BSOD codes are in hexadecimal. That's the best I can come up with given the circumstances...
-
I absolutely loved this strip, because this is how I get about cute things sometimes - I got so, so excited about the kitten cam! I am still so, so excited about the kitten cam.
There's a kitten cam?!?!?!?!
-
I do like Winslow's hat quite a bit. Also...did someone say "guitar porn (http://wetriffs.com)"? (Not really porn, but NSFW all the same)

I think they've been bodysnatched... :?
-
It's all going to end in tears -- and Marten in his own gothloli getup and little hat. Unbuttoned shirt w/ necktie.
Yes.
YYYEESSSSSS

Necktie with NO shirt.
Yaoi Zone ... Initiated!

I'm joining the "Seriously, Jeph, WTF" team here.
And yet there are people pissing themselves over how funny they find it. Jeph must be on to something if he can make a comic hailed as both the best comic ever (by someone above) and our reactions. I'm disappointed that this is the second blah comic in a row.
-
And that's when Hanners and Marigold were recruited into working for Valve.
-
While I was kind of amused by yesterdays "But I LIKE the little hats' bit from Winslow..while this is adorable it's also REALLY weird. It's not that I dislike it or anything, just that I have this weird feeling like I heard enough of a joke to know that I'm missing the essential part.
-
Yeah, I'm expecting some kind of big punchline for all this Friday.
Maybe they dipped a little too far into Hanner's medication bag?
-
hailed as both the best comic ever (by someone above)
Technically speaking, I didn't say it was the best. I said it was my favourite. Because, y'know, I read comics to make me laugh. And this really made me laugh. I'm not proclaiming it as artistic genius or supreme wit or anything.

YESSSSS, THE LITTLE HATSSSSSS,
why do I have a suspicion that we'll see Marten with blue hair and a collar/tie/noshirt. Plus the addition of A LITTLE HAT. YESSSSSS.
Watch out for the nosebleeds (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1528) though.
EDIT: oops.. ninja'd by Throg and DSL
-
Hanners and Mar-bear remind me of the pink and blue unicorns right now.
Chhaaaaaarrrlllliiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeee.....

Too much late night....whatever. (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1991)

Apparently Marten in a little hat breaks the spell.
He is the Anti-Kawaii.
-
This pair ... now they stand and they stare,
And say "Come" ... though they sound kinda dumb,
Marten goes ... and he says, "Look at those!"
HATS ENTERTAINMENT!
She stood ... Momo's being so good,
There she stands ... with her friend in her hands,
Lookie there! What's she got in her hair?
HATS ENTERTAINMENT!
There's Hanners, whose manners
Suggest OCD;
And bold Marigold,
Oh so nerdy is she!
They're ... just ... as ... cute as can be!
It's no use asking why now,
They're just so darn kawaii now!
'Twas fun ... but the moment is done,
Now it's past ... guess the thrill couldn't last!
Marten tries ... but the girls realize
It's over, and that's
The end of the HATS
OF ENTERTAINMENT!
(Sung to the tune of "That's Entertainment", by Arthur Schwartz and Howard Dietz)
-
Why was Momo so tolerant? She's pushed hard on other occasions to be treated with dignity as a human. She didn't want to be in an Izumi-04 chassis (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1998).
Does she like playing dressup, or does she think her dignity isn't affected by little hats?
-
Took me a minute to remember where I'd seen that 'Marten trying to be cute' smile (http://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1751) before.

I don't know what's wrong with Hanners and Mar-bear; I think Marten is super kawaii :D
-
Oooooh!! Hanners and MariBear become so assertive
Over little hats
OK, now Marten can hang out his Shingle now.

Hmm, I strongly miss the "meh, whatever" option in this poll.

Oh yeah, how did I forget the one that was just a couple weeks ago? :?

Oh horror, Hanners and Mar-bear have betrayed us. You can never leave the little hats behind.
They must be eliminated
For the good of the little haaaats, yessss
Jeph was right. This IS how cults get started.

HATS ENTERTAINMENT!

I think it's official now. The QC movie has to be an (animated) Shakespearean musical.
(well done, Eddurd)
-
Marten! Are you flirting?
(Because Hannelore has standards, (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1856) you know ...)
-
I was pretty sure you were linking this one (http://questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1141).
And Eddurd, you made my day, first thing in the moring - now for breakfast!
-
Is there a "one cute" (because those two remind me too much of Gollum)?
One Cute to rule them all, One Cute to find them,
One Cute to bring them all, and in the kawaii bind them.
In the Harajuku where little hats lie.
You can be amazingly brilliant at times. Bravo!

I think you should win whatever replaces the Internet.
A thought. How often is it, really, that Marten weirds Hannelore out?

Well, if the Twitter feeds are canon... :-\

Why is Marten wearing Mr. Peanuts hat?
-
The miniature top hat's been popular for fascinators for a long time. Almost as long as top hats have been around...

I have one somewhere! Well, I used to. I think it disappeared in my latest purge. It was a tiny black hat with pink ribbon and black lace, and it clipped onto my head with a hairclip because it was so small - palm-sized at the most.
