So I stumbled upon QC a few days ago and started with number one....until, "oh no what have I done, I just read 2326 strips in like, four days!"  :-\
Having said that, it's pretty great, Jeph seems to be an awesome dude, and thought I'd see what's up here. This would also be my first forum profile.

I'm Levi, a physics undergrad here in the winter wastes of North Dakota. I enjoy lots of alt/indie type music, some of my current favorites being: This Town Needs Guns, Mimas, Minus the Bear, and Toe. Other interests include action-RPGs, a bit of anime, and "quirky" (ugh I dislike that word, but it's what they are) movies and shows. I also play lots of drums a little guitar. Woo.

Physics undergrads are welcome, especially from the tundra of North Dakota. I was a physics undergrad at U of Michigan 50-some years ago, until I flunked calculus twice, also the rest of my courses, and eventually became a journalist with a degree in history.

Heh, thanks! Calculus does indeed suck, test averages at my school for Calc 1 through 3 are usually like 50-60%, because the math professors are sadists.

And I can no longer read "a little guitar" without picturing myself playing a pintsized guitar.
Is a six-inch long Tele a thing? If not, it totally should be.

It looks like the indy rock references in the comic are a thing of the past, but you should find plenty on the sub-forums.

They gave me a bullwhip and manacles when I got my Ph.D.  I keep 'em framed in my office wth a little note saying, "Break glass in case of emergency"

Ha, ours made utility belts for them, they kept getting cuts from the glass shards when frantically smashing through their panes of glass.

It seems like it... but it's been a case of "come for the indy references, stay for the character development" for me!
