Thinking of getting this phone and getting rid of my iPhone (and AT&T). Does anyone here have it? If so, would you recommend it or not? (its size is not an issue, just wondering about specs/performance)
My main concern is transferring my songlist from the iphone. Apparently it's possible with some syncing software, just hoping it's easy. Also, what's the Google music store like? Does it compare to iTunes? Does it have more/fewer songs? Foreign music? Also, does Shazam (a song identifying app) work on it?

Can't make any comment on the phone itself or iTunes synching, but I can help with the other stuff.
The Google Music store compares pretty well and I'm a pretty big fan of Google Music Player. You can also upload all of the songs you currently own to it if you like at any quality you like. You can have up to around 20k songs on the cloud server at any bitrate, and just about any format, for free. Doesn't matter if you got the file from.
Shazam definitely works on Android and is available in the app store.

A quick lil blip from me on this: a coworker has this and loves it. He can't tell us enough about how much it does, and it all sounds good to me. The only thing I think I might like more is the Galaxy S III, but that's just a personal preference.
Also, I don't know how attached to Shazam you are, but SoundHound works splendidly, and I like it better than Shazam, again, just a preference. :)

It was actually pretty annoying seeing this one get widespread recognition after being pretty much the only person I knew with the first Galaxy Note, and having everyone ask "what the hell is that?" for months. Eventually it had too many problems and I replaced it with a Galaxy S III (which is awesome, and I'd probably recommend you go from your iPhone to that instead of the Note 2).

I dunno, I've toyed with a friend's Note, and it seemed to be fine. It has far fewer language options than the iphone though; only like 5 compared to the iphone's 35.
