my name's mtmerrick, you can call me MTM, matt, matthew, or thoron.
I've been reading QC for about 2.5 years now, and I love it. My favorite webcomic by far. I love the story, the humor, the characters, everything about it.
I'm not gonna write my biography out here or anything, but as a fair warning if anyone asks me about my personal life - i got issues. if you wanna talk that's great. if not, then ok. I've actually been feeling quite lonely as of late, ebbing in and out of depression, which is part of why i decided to join the site. If you want to know somethign about me (whatever people would normally put in an introductory topic), just ask.
A few weeks ago, I, on a whim, decided to re-read QC again, from the start. somehow there i was looking something up on the site and stumbled across the forums. I've been lurking ever since.
This seems like a really great community, one i'd love to be a part of. I've been lurking, as I said, so i know the basic rules, protocols, taboos, ect. (and that includes the proper pronouns and such to use with Claire :P), as well as knowing SMF forums really well, so i hope i'll be able to fit in here ok.
EDIT: also, are there any rules on cussin'? cuz' i couldn't find any. Just wanna be on the safe side.

There's no specific rule on cussin', but neither is there that much of it. We view it more as a matter of fitting in, viewing the rest of the forum with respect, and remaining civil. The fact that you asked probably indicates that you'll manage just fine.

Yes it's 3:30 AM.
This is not unusual for me.
I mean, it is, just not the time. I'm incapable of falling asleep before 2:30 without the aid of medication .

My old group of friends (from a now-dead forum, I'm really not I'm contact with any of them anymore) were freakin insane, in all the best ways. Just look at the link in my sig of you don't believe me :P
