Hi everyone,
I've been looking at the forum for quite some time without registering until a few days ago. I started reading QC shortly before the breakup arc, being lead there by a guest comic Jeph made for XKCD. I did not really follow the current comics until I had caught up reading through the archive, but I saw the breakup on the home page shortly after reading about Marten and Dora getting together. I was like NOOOOOOO... for quite some time, because I really like Dora. Apart from Hanners, she's probably my favourite character. I wanted Marten and Dora to get together again for a pretty long time, but now I also like the Dora-Tai couple. I thought Tai handled the getting-together part really well.
More explicitly about me: I am a university student from Germany and I love physics and math (which is what I study). Hence also my nickname, which is a reference to Sophie Germain, one of the first female math geniuses to be (more or less) recognised and one of my heroines.
That's it. Cheers
Edit: Fixed typo

Noch so'n Deutscher, Loki. Was wollen wir mit dem anfangen?
Burasıda gavurlarla dolmaya başladı
and before I forget: Hi Mile Germain!!
-
Dasselbe, was wir mit jedem Deutschen machen, Masterpiece. Wir schleppen ihn in den Mumble-Chat.
Willkommen!
Er... since Masterpiece already took care of greeting you in German I will go with the next-obvious choice.
Salve, discipulus naturae et... err... numerorum.
-
It's actually "discipula", but maybe that didn't become clear enough in the post above. Thanks anyway! :-)
Is the other language turkish? I'm really not sure, but it sort of looked that way.
-
Whoops. Sorry
I am pretty sure the other one is Turkish, yes.

Welcome!

Well, hey! I...don't know any other languages well enough to not make myself look like a fool so I'll greet you in English. Hi!
Well, alright, I suppose I know a couple of Discworld dwarfish greetings, but I'm not that sad. (http://forums.questionablecontent.net/index.php/topic,28617.msg1126248.html#msg1126248)

Thanks everyone! I must say that I really like how attentive this forum is to new members. I think that's special. :-)

How does one pronounce the first part of your username?
-
Mademoiselle, perhaps?
-
That... makes sense, actually.

Welcome, new person!
We've got some math types rattling around here.
