Welcome! If you wish, you can tell us a little more about yourself and your interests. You can also keep an eye on your lug wrench, whether you think you have one or not. And you'll meet fellow Down Underers in this forum. And be sure to check the rules.

what are the "interests" you speak of? Does sleeping count? I've gotten into growing vegies lately, although I'm extremely impatient, as far as I'm concerned after 3 days they should be fully mature. I play flute fairly well, and I've been learning piano (both classical and contemporary) for a year, maybe 2, I have a terrible memory, and I'm of the female persuasion. oh, and I'm trying (once again) to teach myself guitar.

oooh pretty sounding words (unfortunately I've never had the opportunity to learn any European languages, but I do have some basic conversational Indonesian) ... according to goggle "All dogs are welcome here, fine Australian" I'll assume that's a traditional greeting

I don't know any otters personally, but I enjoy watching them stack cups.

iaguK, oot uoy ot olleH

yay for individualism! Although it doesn't work very well as a basis for a society. mixed economy ftw.

keep an eye on your lug wrench

I don't think I own one, but I believe there may be one in the house somewhere. Is there a chance that it will begin to exhibit strange properties? Will it, by any chance, sing carols?

Strange thought. As strange as the fact, 'struth, that I sang Christmas carols in a performance Friday night at a Congregational church in Troy, Michigan, with a dozen fellow singers, all in Renaissance costume.

So I'm doubly (or possibly quadruply) welcome? coolies. I'm not sure i believe either of you two, well I definitely don't believe the melting lug wrench.
Clearly the only place where carols are allowed to be sung during summer is in the southern hemisphere.

Well, we had Congregational dispensation. And they had Christmas cookies out on the lawn  at intermission -- with iced tea. We sang well, but those costumes are a little warm for the season. It was billed as "Christmas in July," of course.

Denying the melting of your lug wrench will make no difference. If Kugai pleases, it shall be done, whether you acknowledge it or not.

On that note, WELCOME.  :-D
