Okay kids. The gauntlet is thrown. No bullshit, no games. The only rules are you write 350 words a day, every day, for a year, with the goal of walking out the door with a first draft of a novel on the other end. It's so easy a cave man can do it, albeit in pictographs, but he could pull it off if he wanted to.
Here's a link to the full blog post where the challenge was located:

And here's the link to the G Doc for my story, which I have mentally labeled "The Terra Equation"

Sounds fun. I'm kinda mentally gearing up for NaNoWriMo tho, 50K in thirty days doesn't leave a lot of time left to do both.
-
I'm currently aiming for at least 1000 words per day, but it's for my thesis, not a novel...
-
Noxx I'm more of a marathon guy then a sprinter.
Cesium I'd assume you have a shorter time frame for that too aff?
-
Yeah, I'm hoping to defend in December. Doing 1000 words per day should get me there with enough time to do revisions so it doesn't suck.
-
Master's or Doctoral thesis?
either way: good luck and good on ya.
I'm looking at getting "dragon naturally speaking' voice command software.
with carpal tunnel surgery imminent,
typing or writing anything quickly becomes painful.

Doctoral.

I sort of want to do the novel writing thing in November, but I might steal my brother's idea and do it as a short story compendium where I do a new short story per day instead.
