Title: ALL YE HIPSTERS, RECCOMEND UNTO ME.
Post by: mookers on 20 Dec 2004, 19:37: i have kind of odd taste in music, or so i am led to believe by the fact that nobody i know can dig anything i listen to.

stuff along the lines of mclusky. Pixies "U-Mass" and "Into The White" and "Planet of Sound". Pavement "Conduit For Sale". mclusky. basically songs with much screaming, repitition, and catchiness. Electric 6 "Gay Bar" and "Danger! High Voltage". Eagles of Death Metal "I Only Want You". mclusky.

i think you probably get it. could anyone recommend some bands/albums/songs? it would be vastly appreciated. and i love you.

YES i tried looking up these guys when i read that they were a main inspiration for mclusky. Unfortunately i could find nothing then and can find nothing now. curses and curses again.

Post by: rynne on 21 Dec 2004, 11:38: For some reason, the first things that I tought of when you named McLusky were The Damage Manual, and Killing Joke's most recent self-titled album (w/ the orange cover).

The only thing Killing Joke and Damage Manual have in common with the bands you name is sheer power by way of volume. Both are vaguely industrial-tinged rock bands with massive, noisy-as-hell guitars (which makes sense, as both bands have the same guitarist). It might be worthwhile to check 'em out if you're interested.
