Title: Dunno if it's just me:Template Parsing error on Chrome & Safari but not Firefox?
Post by: FunkyTuba on 09 Feb 2015, 11:39
I was looking for the Like button, not seeing it in Firefox,

Switched to Chrome, and got:
Quote from: The Forum Software
Template Parse Error!

It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

Same thing in Safari... anyone else seeing this?

What theme are you using and where do you get the error?

Well, looks like the forums are back. (I was getting that error logged in on Firefox, Chrome for Android, IE 11 Modern UI, and logged out on Safari, but I use the default theme.)

Same here.  I tried all day to get in, and even had a friend of mine in Alaska have a look from her end, she got the same message.

I just popped back Online now to check and am glad it's back up.

Firefox user here.

Thanks, Loki for replying.

Immediately after I posted that I went to my settings and changed from "classic" to the default, and after I made that change Firefox (and weirdly tapatalk) stopped working too. Looks like whatever was wrong is now fixed, though.

Intermittent behaviour was because I uninstalled and reinstalled the Like button code a few times in quick succession (leading up to the install that went wrong).

Now it's been done right, the Like button is now visible in all themes, and is less like the spoiler button as well.

You'd have gotten more replies, I'm sure, if I wasn't the only one who could log on at the time :D I use the QC-old theme and didn't even notice something was wrong until some people pointed it out to me on social media.

Hey, I was just a go-between.

And do I get bonus points for figuring out Paul did it? ;)  :clairedoge:
