Post by: Thunderblarg on 15 May 2017, 09:33
Super curious here, anyone have any idea why faye's suggestion of sign fonts was edited out?

My guess is that Jeph decided it was too nerdy, or that too many of his readers who like Comic Sans found it patronising...

The original gag was funnier.

Be that as it may, but Jeph thought it was too similar to a joke done by another comic and felt it might have been seen as plagiarising it. Hence, the change to the comic.

And his other comment, "ROBOT ASS REPAIR",  is still in Marker Felt font.

We know.  And the original gag was still funnier.
