I’m new her so don’t know if/where it’s been asked. Search didn’t help.
Brun has 2 or 3 dark spots under her right eye. Are they freckles? A tattoo? What’s the significance?
Thanks. mc

My best guess they'd be a couple moles.
-
I don't think there's any significance to them. They're either freckles or moles - Jeph never expanded on them. Marigold has some moles as well.

Also guessing moles.
Honestly kind of curious if she has anymore. I'm one of those people who has several. It's been joked more than once that I've got all the constellations. (Not in a mean way.)

And Claire has freckles.
-
Well ... isnt there a running joke that Penny might be Pizza Girl ?
And the Secret Bakery of Northampton has a character that looks exactly like Faye, except she's black.
More recently many robots got intoduced which have more or less humanoid looks. Except they are missing stuff, like a nose, drawn a bit simpler, etc. And they use skin colors that arent human, like blue or bright pink.
That sort of demonstrates the problem if you have a comic thats relatively "simplified" in character looks you have only a relatively limited amount of options to give people an own face, but at the same time need quite large amounts of characters, especially because constantly new ones are introduced.
Fortunategly large parts of our brain are into processing power for visuals, and large parts of that are into understanding faces specifically. So even small differences will be picked up.

Isn't that Renée?
-
It was...
She looks a lot less like Faye now than when introduced as a foil to Padma in the parallel world of the secret bakery (https://www.questionablecontent.net/view.php?comic=1845).
If I recall correctly, there was someone who looked a lot like Angus, too. We were also introduced to Elliott, moping over a love interest. I don't think we ever saw the Angus doppelganger again...
-
Angus used to date Renee, that was the parallel.

I've always interpreted Marigolds dots as pimples. But I suppose they could be moles.
