my computer erased it's own memory yesterday. i lost everything exept things installed on the computer.

any chance i could get it back?

If your data is gone, but your programs aren't, it's not your computer's fault. You can check your recycle bin, but I don't hold out much hope.

There is a service that can recover data from a messed up hard drive, even if you think its been erased.  The down side it that it can be expensive and so you've got to ask yourself how important the lost files are.
