I'm rather fond of internet radio stations, some are actually good for listening to. So name and link to your faveourite(s).
At the moment, all I can think of is www.icebergradio.com
They have all sorts of good genre-radio. Though they're a tad obsessed with Canadian rock...
-
Of all of them, id go for xfm (http://www.xfm.co.uk/). But seeing as internet radio eats bandwidth like pie, i usually dont bother.
-
Gridstream.org
specifically DJ Tarryk and DJ Switchfront (Fridays and Tuesdays respectively)
neither would really be considered Indie, but Tarryk is what mainstream radio SHOULD shound sound like, and Switchfront pounds out the 80's like noone's business.

KMGX Phoenix (http://www.nboxmusic.com/m3u/kmgx.m3u)
DI.fm Hard Trance (http://www.di.fm/mp3/hardtrance.pls)
DI.fm Chillout (http://www.di.fm/mp3/chillout.pls)

i'm really fond of Distorted Circuitry: http://www.distortedcircuitry.com , a great industrial/electronic station hosted by dj morgana and razorgrrl. they're hosted by Rant Radio: http://www.rantradio.com who also run a punk station and a news station.
-
I used to listen to what's now RadioFusion (http://www.radiofusion.org) but, like GNI said, bandwidth + 'net radio = pfffsh.
Or something.
-
I listen to NPR on iTunes all the time... iTunes actually has some really reliable radio streams for free.
-
Woxy is my preferred netradio of choice
-
sometimes i listen to this station (http://www.bizarre-radio.de/)
-
Considering the ups and down of all radio, the station with the most ups is Radio KOL (http://grace.fast-serv.com:9140/listen.pls)
-
i like a lot of the stations on live365. you have to be a member, but it's free. it's cool because you can just type in a band and they'll find what stations play it. my favourites are musique du mouchette (chick bands) and the brown sound (random indie stuff).
-
I love http://www.somafm.com the "Beat Blender" channel is brilliant, as is the Indie channel.
-
I really like listening to http://www.accuradio.com/. It has a broad range of music and teh great thing is you can choose which artists for it NOT to play.
Only bad thing I find is that it has a little more ads than I'd like. =P
-
The hiptronica channel on accuradio is most badass. They seem detirmined to hide it's link (or at least they were last time I checked), but it's worth it.
I don't know if it really counts, but Solidsteel (http://www.ninjatune.net/solidsteel) puts up a new mix every week and they are consistantly great.
Other than that, I use http://last.fm, which is clever, but requires some set up time to learn your tastes.

Ive been searching, on and off, for a good indie hip hop station online. The best Ive found so far is on the MusicMatch player. Lots of atmosphere, which is basically the tits imo. Only downside is its got a limited playlist so if you listen for an extended period more than one day, you'll hear a lot of the same tracks.
They also have an incredible punk station. great blend of old and new school, english and american punk. Cock Sparer. That's all there is to say about that.
-
I'm all about WOXY (http://www.woxy.com).
-
http://www.wvfs.fsu.edu/live.html
This is way more than a college radio station! Something for everyone, really. My personal favorites are the Blues show on Sunday morning at 10 because "Dr. Blues" really knows his stuff, and "Sonic Safari" on Wednesday evening because you never know what you're gonna get. There's also a "new release" show which you might like.
-
I'm going to ask you all, yes, all of you, RIGHT NOW: don't ever listen to WUwire (Willamette's radio). Fortunately, I don't know where it is anyway. It's that bad.
WOXY is, indeed, where it is at.

I'm a huge fan on yahoo's launchcast. For me, it's pretty much the best thing on the internet and you can play it through YIM.
http://music.yahoo.com/
Basically it's a radiostation designed specifically for you. When you register it asks you 10 bands you like
Then it will start streaming music too you based on the bands you like. You can rate everysong 0-4 on song, artist, and album. a 0 rating means it will never play that thing again. You can pause a song and come back to it. You can skip a song, like if you normally like that band but just don't feel like listening too it right then. The higher you rate something the more likely it will play it.
So everyone song it plays is based on your ratings, and you can rate every song you hear. Plus you can look up bands and songs on their webiste and rate them from there.
Also it will play bands and songs based by what other people listen too who also like the same bands you do. For example I'm a big Radiohead fan. So my launchcast will look at the 1000's of other Radiohead fans and find bands that alot of them like, but maybe I don't have rated yet.
It's free to use, I know you can pay to upgrade it too. The only differance between the free and pay is the free you have to listen to a little commercial every 10 songs and higher quality stream, but I can't tell the differance.
Check it out.
Also you can listen to other peoples station (you can also choose tohave specific peoples list influence yours).or generic genre wide stations (i.e. metal station)
If anyone cares to listen to mine its tangenral.

I love http://www.somafm.com the "Beat Blender" channel is brilliant, as is the Indie channel.
same here, i'm a huge fan of the "indie pop rocks" and "cliq-hop" stations :)
-
I am rather fond of BBC 4 which for me is an internet station. I also liek yahoo's launch cast. If ytou waste a whole day browsing badns you can make your personal station rather great. Also their 80's alternative station is great.
-
Revenge Therapist, that makes you the first person I actually "know" to be an American listener to Radio 4, congrats.
I used to listen to Total Rock and Black Metal Radio a lot. Now can't be bothered much though I'm sure they're at least still decent.
-
My favorite is actually a pirate radio station out of Austin Texas. They arent live 24/7 anymore, but its still good usually. Especially when people do shows when stoned/drunk/odd combo
nation of both.

You can listen to Radio 4 on the internet... ;)
Other than that I only really listen to specific shows broadcast by friends.
