The iBooty dance! I can't believe no one's wallpaper'd that yet?? That'd be a great one... I'd give it a shot but my art skillz are teh crap. :(

Anyone else got any ideas?

I'm sure at higher resolutions, it's going to look pretty jaggy. I'll see about trying to make a cleaner copy toreplace this one with.

Click login up in the top corner, and log in with

username: qcuser
password: jephrocks

Then under the Admin Options menu select 'Add Photos' and then go from there :)

Extend the wall? the panel is already too wide, I had to move faye and marten closer together so that it'd work correctly.

I was focusing on the horizontal aspect of the resizing to hopefully illustrate my point about creating a space for your desktop icons so they don't block the characters. Adding height should be simple enough, I would think. Once you get above their heads, it's mostly just a solid field of grey (I think it's grey, I'm colourblind though).

Another idea would be to incorporate the storefront (as seen in the first frame of the strip) into the picture to create that extra space for the icons. Like I've said before, I'm not experienced with Photoshop or related programs, but it seems to me that after cutting Marten out of the picture, fixing the storefront should be simple as it's all straight lines and solid colours (except for the lighting effect on the windows).

Anyways, them's my $0.02.

I find that 1024x768 papers don't look *that* bad under 1280x1024. They don't stretch that much...

Also, according to my count we have 49 QC wallpapers!! That rocks!! (Excluding all the different sizes that is)

I want to do a wallpaper featuring the following:

To the right of the screen: Steve with his pants down.

to the left of the screen:

Marten in his panel four "OMG I fucked up" stance from strip 362 (hands over his mouth)

Faye doing her "lalala I'm not listening" bit from comic #168 (fingers in ears), flipped so she's facing to the left (and away from steve)

And... well, I wanted to do the "three monkeys" bit and use a snip of somebody (preferably Dora) covering their eyes or averting their gaze, or something, but I can't find one. Any suggestions?

Yes, its just Raven, Marten, Faye and Dora. I would have included Steve and Ellen, but these are the only guys we've seen much of lately (ie. since the last art-evolution.) Also last time we saw Steve he wasn't lookin' too good, and there didn't seem much point including Ellen without him. So...yeah. Enjoy.

(I pretty much hate myself right now for having spent the last 45 mins making this when I should have been doing my uni assignments, so somebody better appreciate it!)

Strip 600 is about the most wonderful thing I've ever read on the internet, and like many other, it seems I can't stop looking at that first panel.

It's 1280x1024, and a little big, but I figure you can't cheap out on the good stuff. Up now in Sionide's gallery, so enjoy!

Well, I'm sure that site worked properly 3 years ago when that post was written... :laugh:

But yeah, it would be nice if someone could scratch together as much of the archive as possible and upload it to another server, or maybe a Picasa account or something.

I'm back!! After a long enough absence. Shame on me..

The AnthroPC is back at http://sionide.net/anthropc/

And I'm working on the Wallpaper Gallery again which was also a huge success, I didn't even realise people were still looking for it! Anyway it is proving more difficult because my new server isn't compatible with the Gallery software I used to use. No worries, I'm on it. and I *think* I have all/most of the wallpapers backed up somewhere so... no problems there. Stay tuned everyone!

Unfortunately, I'm the only one with access to upload files so if you post them here or email them to me (qcgallery -at- sionide -dot- net)... I will stick em on there as soon as, with credit where it's due :)

We're in serious need of some up to date wallpapers to reflect the current artwork. The ones up there are months old, if not years. So, get your photoshop out and whack out some wallpapery goodness and hit me up!!

p.s. A better URL will be available when I fix the mod_rewrite issues I'm having.. Stupid .htaccess :(

Don't worry about backups, I've got it sorted now.

Before hand when sionide.net was hosted on a different server I assumed back ups were being taken when in actual fact they weren't so I was left with lost data..

I've written a post about what happened on my blog ( http://sionide.net/2008/04/16/questionable-content-gallerywiki/ )

Suffice to say, I'm now backing the entire website and database up on a weekly basis, the database backs up automatically every night as well so any wallpapers added from now on will be stored and backed up on that regular schedule.

Apologies for the Gallery being down for so long but I figured there wasn't any call for them, it appears I was wrong and people are loving them.

But we now need more new blood! Get your artistic creativity flowing everyone :)

Lots of pointless "hand drawn" vs. "recontextualized comic capture" drama at the fan art thread, so I found a wallpaper thread. I made this one shortly after the comic this is taken from was up and had problems getting a confirmation email to the forum, then promptly forgot about it.

No photoshop tricks, I wanted it simple and clean, and something I would actually rotate in my own usage every now and then, though I originally made it for someone else. The spacing is a reaction against the words "on to" being rendered as "onto" in the comic, which made me die a little.
