Isn't Free Comic Book Day always on a weekend?
To those who are curious, if you have a local comic book shop, go there May 7th. There will be some books that will be given away free just for showing up. I don't know what titles; a list may be available online.

Hmm, it may be. Some reason I'd thought it was always the 7th.
Hmm, Slave Labor seems to have pulled their contributions to Free Comic Book Day. I think I read somewhere that instead of a one shot a year they decided to print up a free anthology to hand out at conventions and suchnots.

I'm actually kind of interested in Oni Press's offerings this year.

My local comic shop is hiring my cousin and I to go to their big free comic book day bash as Jay and Silent Bob. My SB get-up won their Halloween costume contest last year, and I guess he was impressed by it enough to have us come back. I've got pictures of us in costume if anyone is interested in seeing how we looked.

So, how many people remebered that today was Free Comic Book Day? It completely slipped my mind, but I went for a walk downtown and passed one of the local comic shops. There was a guy with a big cardboard sign ushering people in. Some very cool-looking stuff, though I haven't had a chance to read any of it yet.
-
yeay! I got my free stuff!
I'll take a look at it tomorrow, tho.

I wondered through my local comic store on saturday completely oblivious of the day. Nothing seemed even slightly different.

The comic shop where I used to live didn't do it this year due to bad turn out. Go figure that's where I was but my Flight volume 2 showed up so all was well.
