I am a DJ at WVFS in Tallahassee FL, and I'm going to toots a few horns here, a few of them even belong to me. We are the ill-na-na. And veryone can listen to it, just go to wvfs.fsu.edu and click on the listen now link and enjoy! In regards to the new news post, we have both Superwolf and The Books in rotation, heavy rotation in regards to The Books (Superwolf is a bit older). We even take requests online and feature a database with our ENTIRE CD catalog (save for the really current stuff), so how about that hipster kids? HOW 'BOUT IT?

Fungus53 on XM is the uber.
But only if you're really into the last 30 years of punk/ska/psychobilly

Triple J.
Although I'm a bit late at beating the drum... (Aussies should know what I'm talking about.) :)
-
Yeah Triple J is awesome in comparison to just about anything out there.
It's non-commercial, run under a government charter i believe, and it doesn't have to care a whole lot about censorship. In fact, the first track they played ever, when the started 30 years ago, was banned at the time: Skyhooks track "You Just Like Me 'Cause I'm Good in Bed"
They stream, so check it out:;-)

edit- unfortunately, they're currently unable to offer more than a 20kbps bitrate, they're trying to upgrade this by the end of May.

I know I don't.
They also played NWA's Express Yourself for 2 or 3 days straight when NWA's Fuck tha Police was banned.

Whenever a discussion about radio comes up, my mind always starts playing the first track off QotSA's Songs for the Deaf:
"Hello, you're listening to KLON Los Angeles Clone Radio, we play the songs that sound more like everyone else...than anyone else"
/\ I'm lookin' at you Triple M.
Triple J all the way!

Actually, part of 'Fuck Tha Police' has been incorporated into the Triple J news theme we hear every hour. Not distinct, but it's there :D

i haven't listened to JJJ in about a year now. as far as radio goes, it's mostly 2ser (http://www.2ser.com) and fbi (http://www.fbi.org.au/) at the moment. both sydney-only though, so it's the j's whenever i'm out of town. or radio national :P.
oh, and fun trivia! if i hear commercial radio, i am liable to explode.

I'll have to listen out for that...

Yeah, its a very good station. I once told someone that I really wanted to see two things in Australia, the outback and JJJ. But...in the states...V89 all the way. You all shall soon see. We're so freaking commercial free it'll make your 1'' buttons spin.

Thanks to Radio 4, i discovered zee mighty comedic talent of Boothby Graffoe. As well as the Eliza Tales.
Being a raving fan of Mark Heap/anyone who comes from the Spaced-esque new crop of British comedy has nothing to do with it. NOTHING.
