Title: Boasting/Indie Cred Comparison
Post by: walking_dude01 on 09 May 2005, 04:03
well its fairly simple, you just use this thread to brag in a brash manner about how many scene points you can claim. Hopefully other people will know what you're talking about ;)

Mine

I have seen Slint and Mogwai perform live, on a single gig lineup!

No. Being a snob is a bad idea.

It's a thread where you brag about your scene points. Exactly how much more snobby can you get?

snob

noun

One who despises people or things regarded as inferior, especially because of social or intellectual pretension: elitist. Informal snoot. See attitude/good attitude/bad attitude/neutral attitude, self-love/modesty.

snobbery would be the use of the aforementioned boasting (yeah all right so it's not a very good choice of word) to look down on others and make fun of them. I was hoping to stimulate conversation about what may be considered 'awesome' bands to have seen etc.

I'd assume wine-snobbery is an exception though, eh?
