or, "what the fuck does that mean."
-
Quiessence, poser. To enquire unto the essence of kvlt is to disparage kvlt itself! I feel myself melting even reading your weak, softcore words. To the icefjords of Azabagorath! Hail the Necrowizard! Hail the necrobobsledders of Mt. Shxfnqhjatz!
-
No, seriously, what the fuck does it mean.
EDIT: Hail the necrobobsledders of Mt. Shxfnqhjatz!
Yes sir.
-
What, you want a serious answer, servant of the un-necrowizard?

kvlt means never having to say you're sorry
no wait that's love.
kvlt is eating a bible while shitting the remains of an eaten bible onto another bible, which you will soon also eat.

You forgot the bit about being naked.

urbandictionary.com definition of kvlt:
1. kvlt
Epitomising the musical ideals of sub-underground black metal - the kind of stuff that comes out in limited editions of 300 through vinyl-only labels based in a cave in Belarus. The exact requirements of kvltness vary depending on who you talk to, but usually involve icy, impenetrable production, black-and-white cover art, and concepts drawn from black magic, pagan myths or out-and-out nihilism.
Like anyone who takes art seriously these days, kvltists are the target of much mockery even from fellow extreme metal fans.
-
Edit: nevermind.

The beatles are pretty good, but I'd take 1349 anyday myself.

Is anyone else getting a near-irresistible urge to post Immortalised pictures in this thread?
-
Crap damnit, I can't find those priceless 'TRUE ARYSK GARTENARBEITEN ' and 'BASKETBAL IST KRIEG' pictures, with the heavily done up black metal dudes doing the gardening or washing dishes or playing basketball.
-
Oh yeah, think I remember those but I can't find any. Ah well, these ought to clear up what kvlt is all about:

haha, that band is called Thoth.
I'd post pics but the site is down.
-
I like Johnny C's respone even though I doubt he's heard 1349....and so do you know why I (funny or not) said that indie kids like Astruge are trying to be kvlt?
I've seen the Thoth pictures before, they're awesome.
-
I've found them all in a folder on my computer, but really can't be pooped to post.

c'mon, you limey fuck. let's 'ave em.

This 1349 band sound interesting actually, can anyone post up a link to one of their songs? Preferably something from their latest album since it's in the shops. My taste in black metal generally tends towards minimal arrangements and harsh guitar sounds (Darkthrone, Burzum, early Bathory) and I appreciate atmospheres and inventiveness - although I also have some kind of soft spot for the kind of death/grind/black metal albums that just go all extreme and blaze past in a Scum or Panzer Division Marduk kind of way.

I wanna ride it again! lets ride it again!! wooooo

Hahahaha, from the first bit of that song, I can inform you that I have, in fact, heard that song before. And it makes me kind of happy.
I still say The Beatles pwn 'em. Possibly because their drumming doesn't scare my cat. Also what the hell happens at about 1:25 in that song because it sounds like the instrumentalists have a collective seizure and the drum kit simultaneously rolls off of a cliff.
-
Well, it doesn't scare my cat, she likes to curl up with me and purr along when I listen to stuff*
You asked what Kvlt was and we told you in the end. And what are you on about at 1:25? It's just upping then tempo and blast beating.
*I bet you where hoping I'd say she falls asleep so you could say it's boring, well sorry but no.

kvlt=grim=necro, with only slightly different shades of meaning
