I saw Will's topic on "GUNZZZZZ" and decided to ask everybody what their favourite in-game weapon/unit/vehicle/other thingy is.
Here's my list:
Favourite FPS weapon: The shotgun from Half-Life and HL" (a SPAS-12, basically).
Favourite 3PS weapon: Twin lightsabers (Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy)
Favourite RTS unit: Space Marine Tactical Squad (WH40K: Dawn of War)
Favourite driving game vehicle: PSR-900 motorbike (Grand Theft Auto San Andreas)
Favourite character class in an RPG - Either a heavily-armoured bashy type with some healing magic, in a fantasy-based game, or an accurate, long-ranged shooter in a futuristic seting.
Favourite Miscellanious: favoured aproach to a problem in Deus Ex - stealthy, yet lethal, using a silenced sniper rifle from as far away as possible, with a backup silenced assault rifle for if things go awry.

No way! Plasma-gun from Doom 2, easily. (I say Doom 2 rather than Doom because you've generally got more ammo in 2, so you can go berko with the thing.)
EDIT: Oh, and favourite driving game vehicle: the Banshee from G.T.A. 3. Especially when you get to the third island (the suburbia one - whatever it's called) and there are shitloads of them everywhere, so you can jump in one, thrash the shit out of it, jump in another when it gets written off . . . etc. Nothing in G.T.A. like driving a stupidly fast vehicle with reckless disregard - ESPECIALLY a stupidly fast vehicle with slightly iffy handling!
-
Favourite FPS weapon: AW50 sniper rifle (Global Operations) - AWP's big brother.
Favourite 3PS weapon: Double-bladed lightsaber (Jedi Academy) - Darth Maul was undeserving of its power.
Favourite RPG character class: Mage - I am generally a fan of explosions and the things that make them, and mages do explosions oh so well.
Favourite way to engage an enemy: Sniping from a concealed position. Like on the other side of the map. Failing that, blow up everything.

We could re-name this "The Testosterone Topic."
Favourite driving game vehicle: PSR-900 motorbike (Grand Theft Auto San Andreas)
Pff, the NRG-500 owns that POS.

Favourite FPS Weapon: AK47 (CS)
Favourite 3PS Weapon: Dual Uzis (San Andreas)
Favourite VG Vehicle: The Banshee in GTA3 was awesome, but I'm gonna go with the Priest in BF1942. Target that enemy spawn point from across the map and BOOM.

Oh, one of my favourite things to do was teleport squash people and monsters. Doom 2 did seem to have more ammo. That combined with over zealous use of the chainsaw left me pretty well off for ammo most the time.
Vehicle wise (and non mecha) I'd say the V/STOL jet from San Andres is possibly my favorite.

Favorite weapon: Anything with automatic fire and a deep mag well. If I can't do that I'm quite fond of rifles or pistols. So in short, guns. Lots and lots of guns.
Favorite 3ps weapon: Dual sawed offs. (San Andreas.)
Favorite Class/Style: While everyone else is fighting head on, I sneak around the back and plant explosives, or shoot everyone. Whichever one is more expeditious at the time.
Favorite fantasy/rpg-ish class: Depends on my mood really. Sometimes I play as a mage because I like big explosions. Sometimes a thief because I like to sneak up on people and sometimes a fighter because I just like to crack heads.
I like to be able to do a bit of everything.

In terms of speed, yes. My preference for the 900 is based on the fact that it has a GREAT engine sound - really throaty and strong.
Favourite 3PS Weapon: Dual Uzis (San Andreas)

I prefer the minigun - for starters, it's aimable nowadays, and lethal as unholy fuck. About the only thing in the game that'll stand up to it is a tank. plus, there's one conveniently hidden in a car park in Las Venturas, just off the old strip (round the corner from the gentleman's club). Go down there, grab it, drive to a different part of town, come back, grab it again, repeat until you have about five thousand rounds.

Everyone knows the best weapon in a first-person shooter is Half-Life 2's gravity gun, simply because it has never been so fun to tip cars and filing cabinets alike on your hapless opponents.
-
Favourite FPS weapon: Enhanced Shock Rifle (UT). Instagib is so awesome.
Favourite 3PS weapon: Sawn-off Sotgun (Max Payne)
Favourite RTS unit: PeeWee (Total Annihilation)
Favourite driving game vehicle: Either the NRG-500 or the car in San Andreas with tail-lights like a Supra and a body like an NSX. I forget what it's called.
Favourite character class in an RPG: Cleric / White Mage / Healer
Favourite Poker Hand: Full House. It beats one hell of a lot of other hands even with low cards.

Switchblade you have made me a very happy man.

Favourite RTS unit: Mammoth Tanks (C&C: Red Alert)

Favorite automatic Rifle: FA-MAS (Firearms)

Fun G-gun related hint: use it to carry Ball (from when you first get the G-gun and meet DOG for the first time) into Ravenholme.
Why? Ball is Combine-allied, whereas those zombies and headcrabs are all headcrab-aligned. Both are stupid, and hostile to each other. Throw Ball at some advancing zombies, and not only will he kill one of them, but then the rest of the zombies and any headcrabs in the area will attack it, and Ball will fight back. It is also invincible. The zombies and crabs will just stand still and smack at it and achieve nothing. Ball won't damage the zombies, but he can kill headcrabs, and keep the heat off you, leaving you free to line up some juicy headshots. Drop him down the mine shaft to tie up and kill a huge number of headcrabs as well - he'll take down nearly all of them in the time it takes you to get down there.
Be warned - like all rollermines, he explodes when he gets wet, so you won't be able to take him past the flooded section in the mine, and even if you DO manage that, you can't carry him in the jeep.

What about KIT?
K.I.T.T. was such a dweeb.

Favourite FPS weapon: Remote Mines (Goldeneye64. A+B=FUN)
Oh sweet merciful crap, you know your group of friends and your self have played enough Goldeneye when everyone runs around throwing remote mines on all the spawn points.
I like jumping cars in San Fernando in San Andres. And bikes. I pretend to be Super Dave.
-
that reminds me, did you know that there is a code in GTA SA that makes the bunny hops even bigger? They are so big that you can jump over a building. I found myself jumping around Los Santos to get to where I wanted to go.
-
