I'd recommend ShoutCast. (If you have Winamp you have Shoutcast radio!)

Virgin Radio is a good channel. (rock)

Well the thing about there being a QC radio. Would that would mean there would be a QC chatroom for the radio, so we could all be talking in there while the music plays and request it and have our own DJ from the forum.

It would be sweet.

I did explain that to him.

Actually, I never use capslock. Mainly because It doesn't have a key on my keyboard, I had to use it to replace the delete key. That's all hardcore little finger on left shift action.

And I never fake drunkeness, otherwise I would do it all the time just to piss people off.

The little finger on left shift technique lets you type so much more angrily. Always the way to go if that's the effect your after.

Remember what happened to waixwave? No? That's my point.
Waixwave was an awesome local Aussie stream that, although the music was often crap, had a great atmosphere and sense of community. If anything it made me buy more albums, that's where I first heard Fingathing (dude who played that; you, sir, are a fucking legend). Then the lawyers turned up. Now because they streamed illegally downloaded mp3's (and legal ones would probably have met the same fate) they got shut down. Arsehole lawyers.

I don't know what the laws are (or how well they're enforced) in your part(s) of the world but bad things might happen.

Sorry to kill your idea.

But if you went on with it I'd be all for it :)

I don't think I was trying to express that I was angry, more that I'd just consumed large amounts of skunk, vodka, cider and beer...

Umm, I don't think I've ever posted here before, though I've been reading the comic for quite some time and I lurk on these forums way too often. But anyway, this thread caught my attention, and I think setting up a QC Radio would be a great idea. I used to listen to CAD Radio every now and then, but there were some issues involving disputes or something...and it's not so good anymore. I think the main rule of thumb if you guys think of setting one up is that you can't let it get to you. It can be a lot of work, and if ever you get stressed out, just think about bunnies. Bunnies rule.

But all kidding aside, from browsing the forums I know there's a VAST variety of musical taste here, ranging from new stuff like modern rock to old stuff like...well classic rock, to tom waits (he's his own category, doncha know), to....shit, everything. So I do think that a QC Radio station would have an amazing assortment of music, and thus would be very, very successful. Internet Radio has so many possibilities and hasn't nearly reached its full potential yet.

So really the whole post was just one big "Good luck!"
